FEATURE: Single-node VictoriaTraces, vtinsert in VictoriaTraces cluster and vtagent: log failed OTLP/gRPC requests with the client address and request URI, the same way as failed HTTP requests. Previously these errors were only returned to the client, and some of them were counted in
vt_http_errors_total, which made it hard to find the source. Thank @mastersans for the pull request #289. -
BUGFIX: Deployment: restore the
make packageandmake package-<app_name>commands for building single-arch Docker images and loading them into the local Docker image store for local testing. These commands were removed in v0.10.0 along with the switch to thedistrolessbase image. See the discussion in pull request #273 and VictoriaLogs issue #1586. BUGFIX: Single-node VictoriaTraces and vtselect in VictoriaTraces cluster: apply correct time‑range filter and return proper traces from Jaeger and Tempo search APIs when VictoriaTraces runs in a non‑UTC time zone. Previously, searches could return fewer traces or empty results due to incorrect time‑zone conversion for the time‑range filter, especially for time zones west of UTC such as
TZ=America/New_York, which impacted the end‑time boundary. See issue #260. Thank @Vandit1604 for pull request #262. -
BUGFIX: Single-node VictoriaTraces, vtinsert in VictoriaTraces cluster and vtagent: fix inconsistent counting of failed write requests in
vt_http_errors_total. Previously, some OpenTelemetry ingestion request errors were counted twice, while some requests rejected due to internal errors weren't counted. The issue occurs with both OpenTelemetry APIs and the internal insert APIs. Thank @mastersans for the pull request #290. -

BUGFIX: VictoriaTraces cluster: properly cancel requests waiting in the
vtstorageconcurrency queue when the corresponding query is canceled or times out onvtselect. Previously, these requests could remain queued and run later, accumulating stale work and wasting resources. See VictoriaLogs issue #1672.
