Features

• Chat summaries:
  • You can now generate summaries for context savings, though some information will be lost in the process.
  • Summaries can be generated manually or set to automatically occur, see Data Sources > Summaries for more settings.
• Inference Pipeline rework:
  • In Remote Mode, you can now send multiple chats simultaneously (assuming your backend supports it).
  • For Local Mode, it still only allows a single chat at a time.
• Notices
  • This new system that informs the user of background services being ran.
  • This encompassing long-term background actions such as generating titles, summaries, and model loading/unloading.
• Media attachment improvements:
  • Added attachment support for audio files.
  • Added an audio player app wide for playing attached audio files.
  • Added Image attachment viewer.
  • With this new audio player, the text-to-speech player can now keep playing while browsing other screens.
• Onboarding:
  • The app now guides you through an initial setup for the User, app mode, connections and themes, with guided introductions to the main screens.
  • This also includes a new in-app model downloader, though its use is currently only in the onboarding section.
• Added local model to character links.
• Themes v2:
  • Added new customizable fields:
  • Chat bubble colours.
  • Markdown colours.
  • Reasoning section colours.
  • Warning colours.
  • Existing themes are converted automatically, refer to the docs for v2 formatting.

• Updated llama.cpp
• Chat Actions now follow the chat bubble.
• Context usage breakdown is now more descriptive.
• The Settings menu has been fully reogranized
  • The chat appearance and themes settings have been merged with a live chat preview.
• Updated buttons, switches, menus and selection sheets for a more consistent look.
• Removed the old StringArrayEditor component for tags with a new sheet version.
• Retired old renderer. Reasoning should now be in its own section aside the content.
  • Old chats will automatically be migrated.
• Improved the Pink Light, Lavender Light and AMOLED themes. Light themes in the app have historically bad contrast, so it warranted a touch up.
• The prompt builder now only loads the history needed to build the next prompt, instead of the full chat history.
• Added an editable continuation instruction for APIs that require the last message to be from the user, including Google AI Studio.
• Dev test screens have been consolidated.

Fixes

• Fixed chat search using the wrong reply variant.
• Fixed duplicated and forked chats losing attachments, and forks copying the wrong range of messages.
• Fixed connection and sampler selections, including character links, changing unexpectedly after deleting another entry.
• Fixed creating a connection from the first API template.
• Fixed crashes and repeated scrolling when restoring a saved chat position.
• Fixed some sampler values being left out of API requests, including decimal values and valid seeds.
• Fixed Claude requests missing character information from the system prompt, and custom request templates leaving placeholders unchanged.
• Fixed streamed responses losing text when data arrives in fragments, and stop strings appearing in replies.
• Fixed the default AI Bot character sometimes missing on a fresh install.
