Leaf v0.12.1 - Nintendo 64 Fix
Leaf v0.12.1 fixes the standalone Nintendo 64 emulator, which v0.12.0 shipped unable
to start, and brings back the Return to Leaf? prompt in emulators that paks add.
Nintendo 64 starts again
In v0.12.0, every Nintendo 64 game run with Mupen64Plus Standalone, the default
Nintendo 64 emulator, read its ROM and then quit straight away. The emulator was built
with part of its new quick menu translations missing, so neither renderer could load.
Both renderers are rebuilt, and the quick menu's languages, promised in v0.12.0, now
work.
Games you run with a RetroArch core such as Mupen64Plus-Next or ParaLLEl N64
were not affected and are unchanged.
Return to Leaf? is back
Pressing MENU in an emulator a pak adds, such as the standalone ScummVM, asks
Return to Leaf? again. Press MENU a second time within four seconds to leave,
or let the prompt go away to keep playing. v0.12.0 quit on the first press, without
warning. The three-second escape hold is unchanged.
Installing
Existing Leaf installations can update through Menu > Actions > System Update.
For a fresh install, extract leaf-mlp1-sd-v0.12.1.zip to the root of a FAT32 or ext4
SD card and boot the handheld with it inserted. Your games, saves, states, and settings
are left in place.
To return to stock, extract leaf-mlp1-recovery-v0.12.1.zip to the card root and boot
once with it inserted.
Everything from Leaf v0.12.0 and earlier releases is included.
