Leaf v0.10.0 - Simplified Chinese, Multiplayer, and New Systems

Leaf v0.10.0 adds a Simplified Chinese interface, proper multi-controller play,
first-class PC-98, Atomiswave, and Naomi libraries, and a long list of launcher,
sleep, search, and dual-SD improvements.

Simplified Chinese

Choose Settings > General > Language > 简体中文 to switch Leaf's interface.
The translation was written and reviewed by a native speaker from the community,
and now covers the launcher, settings, dialogs, button hints, 5-Game Mode, power
screens, and status messages.

RetroArch and PPSSPP follow Leaf's language automatically. Both now ship the menu
assets and fonts needed to render Chinese and Japanese text; PPSSPP still respects a
language you choose manually inside PPSSPP itself. Chinese and Japanese game names
also render correctly when Leaf is set to English.

With Leaf set to Simplified Chinese, Search understands pinyin initials as well as
normal names and Chinese characters. For example, CJMLA can find 超级马里奥.

Multiple controllers

Up to three external controllers can play alongside the Pocket 1's built-in controls.
External pads take the first player slots in connection order and the handheld stays
in the last available slot, so connect the controllers you want before launching a
game. Consoles with only two controller ports still need their multitap option enabled
for three- or four-player games.

The Guide/Xbox button opens Leaf's menu from RetroArch and the standalone PSP, DS,
Dreamcast, and N64 emulators. Leaf passes the same frozen player order into each
emulator and hides late or excess controllers from that game session.

PC-98, Atomiswave, and Naomi

NEC PC-98 is now a packaged system using Neko Project II Kai. Put games in
Roms/PC98 and the required text font in BIOS/np2kai/font.bmp or
BIOS/np2kai/FONT.ROM. Common floppy and hard-disk formats, ZIP files, save states,
disk controls, and multi-disk .cmd launch files are supported.

Atomiswave, Naomi, Naomi GD-ROM, and Naomi 2 now have first-class library entries.
Put Atomiswave games in Roms/ATOMISWAVE, Naomi-family games in Roms/NAOMI, and
user-supplied Flycast BIOS archives in BIOS/dc. Standalone Flycast is the default;
RetroArch Flycast remains available as an alternate.

Leaf preserves arcade ZIP/CHD sets, shows friendly titles without renaming the files
Flycast expects, and adds dedicated launcher and Central Scrutinizer cards, icons,
upload rules, and ScreenScraper handling. On the built-in controls, Select inserts a
coin and arcade buttons 1 through 6 use A/B/L1/X/Y/R1.

Faster and smoother everyday use

• Input is ready as soon as the screen returns from sleep; SD-card recovery now runs
  in the background instead of blocking the launcher for several seconds.
• Holding a direction moves smoothly through long lists, and the highlight follows
  the selection rather than snapping between rows.
• Games launched from 5-Game Mode resume the last RetroArch save when one exists.
• Search results can be favorited directly with Y.
• RetroArch launch configuration is generated faster, and same-core game switching no
  longer stops after an old experiment-era limit.
• Plugging in the charger no longer replaces your brightness setting. Leaf applies only
  the stock firmware's required charging floor, then restores your level on unplug.

New optional Pak Rat apps

These apps are available through Menu > Actions > Pak Rat and are not bundled in
the Leaf download:

• Video From Hell plays videos, including Leaf recordings, with hardware H.264 and
  HEVC decoding and a merged two-card library.
• Syncthing can synchronize saves and states with another Leaf, computer, NAS, or
  server while coordinating game launches and physical SD cards. Syncthing is not a
  backup: deletions and damage can synchronize too, so keep a separate backup.
• RAOfflineProxy is an experimental bridge for prepared casual RetroAchievements
  sessions. Hardcore mode always bypasses it, and games still launch normally when the
  optional service is not installed.

Fixes

• Wi-Fi network names containing accents or other non-ASCII characters are no
  longer corrupted when saved. Corrected profiles reconnect after launcher restarts and
  reboots without creating duplicates.
• When Leaf recovers an active installation from the secondary SD mount, all core,
  RetroArch, theme, font, and asset paths now move with it. Central Scrutinizer no longer
  hides systems such as PC-98 because it checked the inactive card.
• Settings status messages clear when leaving their page, storage repair after resume no
  longer triggers a false rescan, and wireless-controller mappings are carried through
  RetroArch, PPSSPP, Flycast, and N64 launches consistently.

Installing

Existing Leaf installations can update through Menu > Actions > System Update.
For a fresh install, extract leaf-mlp1-sd-v0.10.0.zip to the root of a FAT32 or ext4
SD card and boot the handheld with it inserted. Your games, saves, states, and settings
are left in place.

To return to stock, extract leaf-mlp1-recovery-v0.10.0.zip to the card root and boot
once with it inserted.

Everything from Leaf v0.9.0 and earlier releases is included.
