TypeWhisper 1.7.0 Release Candidate 2

RC2 brings the fixes and improvements from the Daily builds since RC1 to the Release Candidate channel.

Highlights since RC1

• Configure shortcuts with a visual Mac keyboard. Key labels follow the active macOS input source, and the editor shows shortcut conflicts and unavailable keys. (#1412)
• Choose Classic, Glass, or Light dictation indicators, with a live preview on the new Appearance settings page. (#1381, #1384)
• Import vocabulary from Wispr Flow, Handy, and compatible CSV files. Import feedback now identifies unsupported formats more clearly. (#1395, #1416)
• Export or delete all app data from Advanced settings, and filter Discover integrations by Local or Cloud. (#1404, #1421)
• Apply dictionary corrections before workflow LLM processing and use shared workflow vocabulary. Long dictations can be processed in segments. (#1419, #1366)
• Paste the last transcription, submit individual dictations with Enter, and disable dictation cancellation when preferred. (#1213, #1310, #1398)

Reliability and text handling

• Improve short, quiet dictation recognition in aggressive mode and let dictation start when the recovery engine is the only ready engine. (#1410, #1389)
• Fix lost Stop hotkeys and prevent Escape cancellation from reaching the target app. (#1413, #1306)
• Correct HTTP API target-language translation and session ownership. (#1407)
• Improve Bluetooth microphone and media-resume handling, audio-engine teardown, and transcription recovery. (#1347, #1356, #1399, #1354)
• Reduce work during startup, History rendering and sync, statistics updates, sound playback, and text insertion. (#1370, #1363, #1371, #1364, #1365, #1367)
• Tighten snippet word boundaries and refine German time formatting, English date phrases, and standalone-value punctuation. (#1393, #1383, #1396, #1394)
• Improve Simplified Chinese wording and add a copy-transcript action to Recorder rows. (#1417, #1423)

Compatibility and updates

Requires macOS 14 or later. This is a prerelease, available through GitHub and the Release Candidate update channel. The stable release remains 1.6.1; Homebrew stays on the stable channel.

Plugin updates are distributed separately. This app release does not republish plugins.
