Initial release of Xemu Chihiro - Playtest #1
Report any Chihiro-related issues here.
Initial setup
- Create a folder to place your Chihiro BIOS files in. MAME's BIOS works great but you need to extract the .zip file and place those files into the folder NOT the .zip.
- Startup Xemu and click Settings... and go to the Chihiro section. Under the Files tab you can then direct the emulator where to look for the Chihiro files.
- In the General section of the settings menu, you can set the Games directory also to look for your .bin files. A reboot of the emulator is required for the game to change.
- Controls can be changed in the Chihiro section also. Each game has their own profile for their own unique controls.
- Reboot the emulator and the Chihiro boot screen will appear
- To load a game, click on Machine in the top left of the screen and click Load Disc... this will take you to your game directory. Make sure to look for the Chihiro netboot images and not Disc Image Files! Once you have selected your .bin go ahead and reboot the emulator.
- If playing with a steering wheel, make sure your steering wheel is selected in port 2 in INPUT tab. Select your controller in INPUT tab, port 1 too, just in case. Bind all your controls before playing in CHIHIRO tab, GAME subtab. Each game have their own controls and player page (mandatory for light gun games).
- If playing with a light gun, make sure you enable evdev/rawinput first in CHIHIRO tab, then select player pointer in DEVICE subtab.
- Setup complete! Enjoy and have fun!
