Improved readability & contrast

  • Fixed invisible buttons on the dark theme

    • Disabled buttons such as Submit on the Security page were previously invisible due to white text on a white background. They now use proper grey styling to clearly indicate their disabled state.
  • Improved readability of action buttons on the dark theme

    • Action buttons like Add consumption on the Energy page previously used orange text on a bright orange background, which made them difficult to read. They now use a subtle tinted background with clearly legible text.
  • Enhanced text and icon visibility on the light theme

    • Increased the opacity of text and icons so they appear bolder and easier to read.
  • Removed visible divider lines on the light theme

    • Thin border lines between cards and sections have been removed for a cleaner appearance.

Better compatibility with latest Home Assistant

  • Added support for newer Home Assistant interface components

    • The theme now properly styles the latest Material Design and Web Awesome components used in recent Home Assistant versions, including dropdowns, input fields, switches, and tabs.
  • Improved E-Ink theme contrast

    • Text and icon contrast has been refined across both e-ink variants to improve readability.

Note: The E-Ink theme remains experimental. It is specifically designed for electronic e-ink and e-paper displays, not for regular color screens, even though it can be used there if a pure black-and-white aesthetic is desired. Some information cannot be effectively conveyed without color, so dashboards should be designed with these limitations in mind. To ensure correct rendering on e-ink displays, accent colors should be avoided entirely.
