DeskBox 1.5.1 is a reliability and polish update: storage-location moves no longer fail on read-only files, the search popup's app grid finally responds to the mouse with icons on first open, very large folders no longer freeze file widgets, capsule transitions are fully repaired, dropping files on an application shortcut opens them with that application, the native context menu no longer stalls the system when an item is clicked, Organize Desktop recovery is hardened, and new installations start on the leaner Resource saver defaults.

Highlights

• Storage moves survive read-only files. Changing the default storage location (and every other folder move — dropped-folder imports, organizing desktop files, moving a deleted widget's contents back to the desktop) no longer fails when the folder contains read-only files: cleanup clears the read-only attribute before deleting and restores it when the delete is blocked. Cleanup only deletes files that were verifiably copied and unchanged, so a file that appears or changes inside the folder during the move is kept in both places instead of being deleted. A blocked cleanup finishes the move and offers to recycle the leftover old folders instead of failing and rolling back, and retrying into a location that still holds a previous attempt's copy offers to clear it first instead of creating "name (2)" duplicates.
• The search popup's app grid works with the mouse. Single-click selects a card, double-click opens it, arrow keys plus Enter launch the highlighted card, and icons resolve on the very first open instead of only after reopening the popup. Mouse handling on this grid had silently never worked since it shipped.
• Big folders no longer freeze widgets. File widgets render a windowed slice of very large folders and hydrate more rows as you scroll, so opening a folder with thousands of files stays responsive; the first launch after a fresh install is also faster thanks to batched shell-icon extraction through the thumbnail proxy.
• Open with by dropping. Dropping files onto an application shortcut tile opens them with that application, for desktop drops and inter-widget drags alike; non-executable or unverifiable targets keep the default system behavior.
• More ways to switch and launch. Hovering a dragged file over a widget-group tab switches members after a short dwell, a sixth global hotkey preset targets the hardware Copilot key (Win+Shift+F23), and click-collapse mode collapses the widget from a title-bar click.
• Quieter, more honest open feedback. Files without a shell association raise the system Open With picker instead of appearing dead, shortcuts with missing targets report the loss instead of claiming success, success toasts are gone, and dropped hidden or dead shortcuts are rejected as a whole instead of vanishing without tiles.
• Capsule transitions fully fixed. Collapsing a widget no longer leaves a residual 4-DIP upward offset on the title bar of the next expansion (the Composition translation now resets when the animation stops), and the first expansion after a fresh launch no longer leaves capsule icon and title ghosts floating over the expanded body (stopping a never-created translation property threw an exception that aborted the completion chain).
• A snappier native context menu. Clicking an item in the native Windows right-click menu no longer stalls the whole system for 1–2 seconds: the low-level mouse hook moved off the blocked UI thread onto a dedicated pump thread and unloads as soon as the menu closes.
• Icons never shrink. Associated icons whose artwork sits inside a larger transparent canvas are re-issued at their native frame size instead of being scaled down by the alpha heuristic.
• Harder Organize Desktop recovery. Abandoning an unrecoverable restore has an explicit confirmation and diagnostics path, orphaned recovery journals are cleared, same-volume frees are exempt from the space check, failure messages are specific, and widget-mapping conflicts auto-resolve or reveal the conflicting tiles.
• Steadier drag and drop. Internal drag payloads carry the zone identifier (Mark of the Web), materialization is bounded for very large selections, and the native and XAML drop paths share one resolution policy. Stack member switches no longer flash the previous member's tiles.
• Leaner defaults. New installations default to the Resource saver preset: visible-idle maintenance after 5 minutes, hidden cache release after 30 seconds with full recreatable scope, and the small cache budget. The experimental immediate working-set trim waits 3 seconds after hiding, so quick hide/show round trips trim at most once. Existing settings are never rewritten on upgrade.
• Quieter failures. Widget-local delete/rename failures and the color picker became in-widget feedback bars and flyouts instead of ContentDialogs that small widget windows clipped, and interaction chrome (drop-preview outline, position rail, wheel feedback) draws the neutral tone instead of the accent color.

GitHub Releases installers

The direct installers are Full Native AOT builds with the bundled private Windows App Runtime. Installers are currently unsigned; verify the SHA-256 checksums after downloading.

Microsoft Store upload

This combined .msixupload is the only file from this section intended for Partner Center. It contains DeskBox_1.5.1.0_x64_arm64.msixbundle plus the matching x64 and ARM64 .appxsym files. The internal bundle is version 1.5.1.0 and has SHA-256 5690F1915D0196654144DAF5942E0BB8B457AEEDFC2F6072B4F1ACF236B9FEC6.

The two single-architecture .msixupload files produced during per-architecture auditing are intermediate evidence only and must not be submitted as the final DeskBox Store release.

Both direct installers and the combined Store upload were produced from the source tree of commit d575447b1ead6200ce02c2ce76c137d20978b096.

Validation

• x64 full test suite: 3537/3537 passed (2026-09-15, final working tree).
• Storage-migration safety is pinned by 10 dedicated contract tests (read-only moves succeed on both engine paths, files appearing or changing mid-move are never deleted, locked files fail closed with attributes restored, residue completion and merge-back rollback, destination-residue rejection).
• x64 Native AOT retail publish and Full installer packaging verified locally for both architectures on 2026-09-15.
• The combined Store bundle was unpacked again; both payload hashes matched the audited inputs, bundle identity is D1FC332A.DeskBoxWidgets version 1.5.1.0, and both payload package audits passed.

• 收纳路径迁移不再被只读文件卡死。 更换默认收纳位置（以及所有其他形式的文件夹搬移——拖入文件夹导入、整理桌面文件、把已删除格子的内容移回桌面）在文件夹里有只读文件时不再失败：清理会在删除前清除只读属性，删除被阻止时再恢复。清理只删除已确认复制且未发生变化的文件——移动过程中新出现或被改动的文件会两处都保留，而不是被删掉。旧文件夹清不掉时，迁移会正常完成并提供「把残留旧文件夹移入回收站」的选项，而不是整次失败回滚；重试到仍留有上次拷贝的位置时会先提议清空，而不是生成「名称 (2)」副本。
• 搜索弹窗的应用推荐区终于响应鼠标。 单击选中、双击打开、方向键加 Enter 启动高亮卡片，图标在首次打开时即可显示，不再需要重开一次弹窗。这个区域的鼠标交互自上线以来其实从未生效过。
• 大文件夹不再卡死格子。 文件格子对超大文件夹改为窗口化渲染、滚动按需加载更多行，打开上千文件的文件夹不再冻结界面；全新安装后的首次启动也因缩略图代理的批量图标提取而更快。
• 拖到快捷方式上即用其打开。 把文件拖到应用快捷方式格子上，直接用该应用打开——桌面拖入与格间互拖都支持；不可执行或无法验证的目标保持系统默认行为。
• 切换与唤起更多方式。 拖动文件悬停在分组标签上短暂停留即切换成员；新增第 6 个全局热键预设对应 Copilot 实体键（多数键盘以 Win+Shift+F23 交付）；点击收起模式下点击标题栏即可收起格子。
• 打开反馈更安静也更诚实。 没有 Shell 关联的文件会弹出系统「打开方式」选择器而不是毫无反应；目标已丢失的快捷方式会如实报告，而不是宣称「已交给系统打开」；成功 toast 已移除；拖入隐藏或失效的快捷方式会整笔拒绝并给出反馈，不再无声消失、不留瓦片。
• 胶囊过渡彻底修复。 收起格子后，下一次展开的标题栏不再残留 4 DIP 的向上偏移（Composition 位移现在会在动画停止时复位）；全新启动后的第一次展开不再出现胶囊图标和标题悬浮在展开区上的残影（对从未创建的位移属性调用停止会抛异常并中断完成链）。
• 原生右键菜单更跟手。 点击原生右键菜单项不再让整机卡顿 1–2 秒：低级鼠标钩子从被阻塞的 UI 线程移到专职泵线程，菜单一关闭就卸载。
• 图标不再缩水。 画布带大透明边距的关联图标按原生帧尺寸重新下发，不再被 alpha 启发式缩放。
• 整理桌面恢复更可靠。 放弃不可恢复的还原有明确的确认与诊断出口；孤儿恢复日志会被清理；同卷释放豁免空间检查；失败信息具体化；格子映射冲突自动解决或揭示冲突瓦片，不再静默失败。
• 拖放更稳。 内部拖拽载荷带上 Zone Identifier（Mark of the Web）；超大选区的物化有界；原生与 XAML 放置路径共享同一解析策略。叠放成员切换不再闪现上一个成员的瓦片。
• 更省资源的默认值。 新安装默认「节省资源」预设：可见空闲 5 分钟后维护、隐藏 30 秒后释放缓存（完整可重建范围）、较小缓存预算；实验性的隐藏后立即裁剪改为等 3 秒，连续隐藏/显示最多裁剪一次。升级绝不改写既有设置。
• 失败更安静。 格子内的删除/重命名失败与取色器改为格内反馈条和 Flyout，不再使用小格子窗口裁剪不掉的 ContentDialog；交互铬件（放置预览描边、位置轨道、滚轮反馈）绘制中性色而非强调色。

GitHub Releases 安装包

两个直接安装包都是 Full Native AOT 构建，并内置匹配架构的私有 Windows App Runtime，不需要另外下载 .NET 10 或 Windows App Runtime。安装包目前未进行 Authenticode 签名，下载后请校验 SHA-256。

Microsoft Store 上传包

Partner Center 只需要上传这个合并后的 .msixupload。其中包含 DeskBox_1.5.1.0_x64_arm64.msixbundle 以及匹配的 x64、ARM64 .appxsym 文件。内部 bundle 版本为 1.5.1.0，SHA-256 为 5690F1915D0196654144DAF5942E0BB8B457AEEDFC2F6072B4F1ACF236B9FEC6。

分架构构建时产生的两个单架构 .msixupload 仅用于审计，不能作为最终商店包提交。

验证状态

• x64 全量测试共 3537 项，全部通过（2026-09-15，最终源码树）。
• 存储迁移安全性由 10 条专项契约测试锁定（两条引擎路径下只读文件移动成功、移动中新出现/变更的文件绝不被删、锁定文件保守失败并恢复属性、残留收尾与回滚、目标残留拒绝）。
• x64 Native AOT 零售发布与 Full 安装包打包已于 2026-09-15 在本地对双架构验证通过。
• 合并商店 bundle 已重新解包，两个架构的载荷哈希均与审计输入一致，bundle 身份为 D1FC332A.DeskBoxWidgets 版本 1.5.1.0，载荷包审计全部通过。
