Flexible Tax Collection per User Group
The Collect Sales Tax checkbox has been replaced with a Tax Collection Mode dropdown giving you full control over how tax is collected at checkout — per User Group.
Three modes:
- None — No tax collected (default)
- Automatic — Stripe Automatic Tax; calculates tax based on the customer's billing address entered at checkout
- Fixed Rate — Apply a specific Stripe Tax Rate ID (
txr_xxx) at a fixed percentage — no customer address required at checkout
Existing groups that had Collect Sales Tax enabled are automatically migrated to Automatic mode on first startup.
Apply Tax Rate to Existing Subscribers — When editing a group in Fixed Rate mode, a new button lets you push the tax rate to all current active Stripe subscriptions in one click. Tax applies on their next billing cycle.
