v3.7.1 — kernel, WireGuard and DHCP-client CVE fixes; USB Application, Media Server, Samba and FTP on Reaper pages; no blank page after login; refused SMB logins logged
Everything in v3.7.0 is included. Both lines carry the same changes: RT-BE96U, RT-BE86U, RT-BE88U and GT-BE98 Pro on
3006.102.10; GT-BE98, GT-BE19000, BQ16 and BQ16 Pro on 3006.102.8.
- CVE-2026-98432: the kernel's IPv4 TCP handshake could read memory it had already freed. A connection attempt
carrying IP options, raced against a resent one, let the kernel build its reply from options the new connection
had already freed: a crash or kernel memory corruption, from anyone who can reach a TCP port on the router. The
options are now freed only once nothing can still read them, as upstream does. The 4.19 kernel gets no upstream
fix, so it is carried here. - Four more fixes from a check of every CVE published in the last 90 days. The WAN DHCP client no longer crashes
on a reply shorter than its own headers, which anyone on your ISP's network segment could send (CVE-2026-88833).
WireGuard checks the handshake key when it accepts a response, so one handshake can no longer give two sessions
(CVE-2026-99059). The kernel sets a socket's timestamp flag only under the socket's lock (CVE-2026-98276). On
GT-BE98, GT-BE19000, BQ16 and BQ16 Pro the configuration-upload address is no longer served: ASUS fixed it
(CVE-2026-19386) in firmware newer than the components those models are built from, and nothing in Reaper uses it. - USB Application, Media Server, Network Place (Samba) Share and FTP Share are Reaper pages. The USB Application
page shows one card per USB service with its state, and the disks with their size and use. The Samba and FTP pages
hold the server settings, guest or anonymous access, the accounts and each folder's rights in one place; turning on
FTP access from the Internet asks first, and FTP over TLS cannot be combined with anonymous login. The Media Server
page sets the DLNA and iTunes servers and their media folders, picked from the disks, and shows the scan status.
Deleting a folder asks you to type DELETE, because it removes every file in it. The stock pages no longer ship;
their old addresses open the new pages. - No more blank page after login. When a page's background request was the last one refused before you logged
in, login opened that request's address as a page - often the security banner's text, which shows as a white
screen. Login now returns only to a page your browser opened, or to the dashboard. - A refused SMB login is in the system log, with the user, the client's address and the reason (a wrong password
readsNT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD). Successful logins are not logged.

This is a beta release. Its filename carries
_BETAand the router reports the same string on the dashboard and the About page, so you can always tell which channel a flashed image came from. Stable releases carry no marker.
