Fixed - the intro's side panels flickered behind the Team NINJA logo
The opening video is three strips played side by side. While the Team NINJA
logo was up, the two side strips flickered between black and a faint copy of
the mountain fading out behind them. The game's video colour conversion
treats a level of 16 as black, and the decoder's dark noise sits right around
it, so near-black came out as 0 or 1 from frame to frame. For the game's
video shader the black point is now 5/255 higher, with the range stretched so
white stays white: anything that close to black is drawn black. Measured on
the intro at four frames a second: the side strips are exactly black for the
whole logo (they alternated 0 / 1.3 before), bright scenes unchanged.
Confirmed by the owner. This applies to every video in the game.
Upgrading: unzip over your existing install, or use the in-game updater. Settings, saves and texture packs are untouched.
