Pinchflat-ngx 2026.11.1

This patch fixes channel scans that kept walking through older uploads and the SQLite-to-PostgreSQL setup flow. It also tidies up source controls and Browse YouTube's Paste URL dialog.

Thanks to @grcatlin for diagnosing the indexing problem in #192, and @cbrookins for reporting the migration setup problem in #191.

  • Channel indexing respects combined date limits. When an Indexing Cutoff Date is set, channel scans now stop when older uploads are rejected by the indexing cutoff or download/retention scan date. Previously, the date filter could skip those uploads before the stop condition ran, leaving the scan working through the rest of the channel. This changes indexing behavior without deleting files or changing saved cutoff values. Cutoffs and retention. (#193)
  • Pending PostgreSQL transfers open migration review before onboarding. Browser navigation and direct source/profile creation forms stay behind migration review until the transfer is resolved. The migration still requires explicit confirmation, and API writes remain locked while it is pending. SQLite-to-PostgreSQL migration. (#194)
  • Source and Browse controls are easier to use. Start, Pause and Stop icons are centered and aligned in source rows. Paste URL now sits beside Search, preserves your typed query and selected profile, and returns focus to its button when the dialog closes. Closing an untouched dialog also leaves an ongoing search running. Browse and URL intake. (#194)

No new configuration or database schema migrations are required for these fixes. Keep a matching backup of your database, configuration and media before upgrading. Upgrade and rollback.

Container images

SQLite and PostgreSQL images are now available at the versioned tags below and their moving aliases.

Database Versioned image Moving tag
SQLite ghcr.io/thebadfella/pinchflat-ngx:2026.11.1 latest
PostgreSQL ghcr.io/thebadfella/pinchflat-ngx:2026.11.1-postgres latest-postgres

Both database images include AMD64 and ARM64 manifests. The release build passed, and the published AMD64 images passed smoke checks with isolated fixture data. ARM64 runtime remains unverified.

For pinned installations, update the image tag first. Pull and recreate the application service using your existing Compose setup, then check startup migrations, health and Diagnostics. When transferring from SQLite to PostgreSQL, upgrade SQLite to the matching release before stopping it and preparing the retained source. Upgrading, transfer guide.
