What's new
- 999 bullets lasts the whole chapter. The 999 bullets cheat was undone as soon as a chapter started: the game hands out each chapter's own weapons and ammo, so in V-Rex you got the machine gun's usual 30 rounds and nothing more. The port now gives the cheat again right after a chapter or checkpoint starts, so you really have 999 rounds. The weapon cheats (revolver, machine gun, shotgun and sniper rifle) had the same problem and are fixed too.

- Cheats: about a second after a chapter or checkpoint hands out its loadout, the port gives the chosen weapon and ammo cheats again. Before, they were only given at the main menu.
How to update
If you have v1.4.0 or later, the launcher offers this update when it opens: click Update now. Otherwise download KingKong-v1.7.2-windows-x64.zip below and copy everything in it over your KingKong folder. Shader pack 2 is still the latest.
New in v1.7.0, if you skipped it: a field of view slider, controller sensitivity that works up and down, a motion blur switch, skipping the startup logos, a Reset page button on every settings page, and the What's new pop-up. See the v1.7.0 release.
New install
- Unzip KingKong-v1.7.2-windows-x64.zip anywhere and run king_kong.exe.
- Click Install from disc image... and pick your own King Kong disc image (USA/Europe, title ID
555307D3, version0.0.0.1). - Click Download shader pack.
- Press PLAY.
No game files are included. See the README for details.
