What's new:
- 3MF Thumbnail Fallbacks: GyroidVault now automatically extracts the high-quality 2D plate thumbnail hidden inside 3MF files and displays it as a clean fallback preview on the model page.
- Cleaner UI: When the viewer falls back to a static 2D image for unsupported 3MF files, the "Drag to rotate" 3D instruction text is now automatically hidden to prevent confusion.
Fixes:
- Fixed a background pathing issue where the auto-scanner would sometimes try to save extracted thumbnails to the wrong directory, preventing them from showing up.
(Note: To see thumbnails for your existing 3MF models, you may need to delete the model from GyroidVault and rescan your library so the system can extract the image fresh).
