Added Gapless Playback
This release brings improved track transitioning. Transitions are now gapless in many cases, otherwise producing a less noticeable tick.
Upgrading note: Gapless is the new default, but if you're upgrading you may need to enable it in settings.
In my testing:
- Lossless releases in format's such as FLAC reliably allow for perfect gapless playback.
- As already, CUE sheets allow for perfect gapless playback.
- For MP3, more recent releases typically allow for gapless playback, however this can vary due to how different files are encoded.
Bug Fixes and Tweaks
- Naming templates now accept full words in angle brackets, e.g.
<artist> - <title> - Scrobbles are now correctly sent when a track has finished playing.
- Fixed a bug with incorrectly reading the duration of ogg files.
Upgrading note: If you have ogg files in your collection, you should use the rescan tags function on these after upgrading to fix them.
