HushTelegram v0.0.24 has 69 patches for the Google Play build of Telegram 13.2.1 (org.telegram.messenger, version code 72911) and telegram.org's Telegram 13.2.0 (org.telegram.messenger.web, version code 72809). The 13.1 builds aren't supported anymore, so update Telegram before you patch. It's on Morphe patcher 2.3.0 now, which needs Morphe Manager 2.5.0 or newer. Most of it came from your reports again, and it changes something for #2, #7, #34, #35, #37, #50, #53, #54, #56, #59, #60 and #61. Special contacts keeps a history of the people you choose to track. The phone number screen can sign you in on Telegram's test servers or with a bot token, and another new switch lets screenshots work in chats that don't allow saving. New switches start off, except Keep the Keep-Alive Service running, which only does anything while Telegram's own Keep-Alive Service is on.
New in this release
-
Special contacts, a new switch underShow user and chat IDsin HushTelegram settings > Look and feel, off by default. With it on, a person's profile menu getsTrack this user, and from then on HushTelegram keeps a history of what Telegram already shows you about them. That covers coming online and going offline, typing, and changes to their name, username, phone number or profile photo. It also notes when you save or remove them as a contact, and when they add you back or drop you. Telegram never says when someone blocks you, so that line is a guess, written when their photo and last seen disappear together. TheTracked peoplerow under the switch lists everyone, newest activity first. Tap a person to read their history, clear it or stop tracking them. Each account can track up to 50 people, the newest 500 lines are kept for each, and nothing leaves the phone. (#53) -
Ghost mode button, under Ghost mode in Privacy and off by default. It puts a ghost at the top of the chat list, next to Telegram's own buttons, and one tap turns Ghost mode on or off with a short message saying which. The ghost is filled while Ghost mode is on and just an outline while it's off. It steps aside while search is open. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Save to Gallery to stories, off by default. A story's three-dot menu gets Telegram's own Save to Gallery without Premium, on stories that don't allow saving too. It saves only the ones you pick. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Allow screenshots in chats that don't allow saving, off by default. Screenshots and screen recordings stop coming out black in those chats and channels, in their photos and videos, on their profiles and in protected stories. Telegram doesn't tell anyone you took one. Secret chats, view-once media and the passcode screen stay blocked. (#34) -
Save downloaded fileshas aWhat to copyrow right under its switch. Tick documents, music, photos, videos or voice messages, and only those kinds get a copy in Download/Telegram. Everything is ticked to start, so nothing changes until you untick something. -
Keep videos muted on volume keyshas a new switch,Start videos without sound, off by default. A video you open plays muted, so it won't blast out in public or cut over your music. Press a volume key and that video gets its sound. The next one you open starts quiet again. Round videos keep their sound. (#61) -
Disable double-tap reactionshas a new switch,Hide the emoji pack line, off by default. It takes the line that says a message contains emoji from some pack off the bottom of the long-press menu, along with the gap above it. -
Move All Chats, under the folder tabs settings. It starts off. With it on, an account without Premium can drag All Chats to another place among its folder tabs, and it stays there after a restart. The place is kept on this phone for this account, so your other devices still show All Chats first. -
Fit all folder tabsis a new switch underHide folder tab counters, off by default. With lots of folders, the tabs above the chat list shrink until every one of them fits on the screen, so you don't have to scroll sideways to find one. They stop shrinking at a size that's still readable, and with only a few folders nothing changes. (#53) -
Keep Telegram's files in internal storagehas aFolder in internal storagerow under it, so Telegram's files can go in a folder you name, like Internal storage/Plus, instead of Internal storage/Telegram. Changing the name takes a restart, and files in the folder you used before stay there and still open. Leave it empty for Telegram. (#7) -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Clear from cache to the message menu, off by default. A video or file message gets a Clear from cache item. It stops a running download, deletes what Telegram kept of it and brings the download arrow back. A toast says how much was cleared, and copies you saved to Downloads or Pictures stay. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Save album art to the message menu, off by default. A song with art, inside the file or on Telegram, gets a Save album art item that puts the picture in Pictures. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Save video cover to the message menu, off by default. A video gets a Save video cover item that puts its biggest cover or thumbnail in Pictures, fetching it first if it isn't on the phone yet. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Forward to Saved Messages to the message menu, off by default. A message you can forward gets a Forward to Saved Messages item in its long-press menu. Pick as is, without the sender's name, without the caption, or both, and it lands in your Saved Messages at once. -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Add Fast forward to the message menu, off by default. A message you can forward gets a Fast forward item in its long-press menu. Pick without the sender's name, without the caption, or both, then pick a chat, and it goes out at once. -
Strip link trackinghas a new switch,Clean links when you copy or paste, off by default. Copy a link in Telegram, or paste one into the message box, and tags like utm_source and fbclid come off. Only text that is one link and nothing else changes. Find it in HushTelegram settings > More settings > Links. (#53) -
Faster downloadshas a third switch,Faster uploads, off by default. An upload keeps four times as many pieces on their way at once, up to 64. Telegram's servers still decide how fast an account can send, and the piece size and file size limits don't change. Find it in HushTelegram settings > Playback. (#53) -
Hide popular appshas a new switch,Disable secret chats, off by default. When someone asks for a secret chat, the phone ignores the request. Nothing is saved or shown and nothing is sent back, so the other person just sees it waiting. Secret chats you already have keep working. Find it in HushTelegram settings > Ads. (#53) -
Sort chats by dateis a new switch underHide folder tab counters, off by default, with a second one,Oldest chats first. Your unpinned chats line up by the date of their last message, newest or oldest first. Pinned chats and the archive row stay where they are, and nothing is sent to Telegram, so it only changes this phone's list. (#53) -
Passcode for hidden chatsis a new switch underHide picked chats, off by default. With it on, openingChats to hide, turning offHide picked chatsand turning the switch itself off all ask for your Telegram passcode first. It guards this settings page only, so search still finds the hidden chats. Telegram needs a passcode set before it will turn on. (#53) -
Administrators row in the side menuis a new switch underHide folder tab counters, off by default. It adds anAdministratorsrow to the side menu. One tap lists only the groups and channels you own or manage, and the row then readsShow all chatsto bring the rest back. It only changes this phone's list and starts off again when Telegram restarts. (#53) -
Hide accountsis a new switch underHide folder tab counters, off by default. The accounts you tick inAccounts to hideleave Telegram's account lists, and only there. Each one stays signed in, keeps syncing, and its notifications follow Telegram's own settings. Nothing is signed out or deleted, the account you're using always shows, and at least one account always stays. An optionalPasscode for hidden accountsswitch asks for your Telegram passcode before the list opens. (#53) -
Stop usage reportsnow also holdsReceive only modeandPower off accounts, both off by default. Pick accounts under each switch in HushTelegram settings > Privacy. A receive only account reads, downloads and marks chats read, but messages, reactions, drafts and typing stay on the phone and show an error. A powered off account sends nothing, and its name in the side menu gets an (Off) tag. Telegram's connection can stay open in the background, so a powered off account may still receive messages and notifications. (#53) -
Use normal pastehas a new switch,Mention by ID, off by default. Type @ and a user's ID number, or tg://user?id= and the ID, in the message box and it goes out as a real mention. It only works for people the app has already seen, in a chat or a group. For anyone else the text stays as you typed it and a short note says so. Turn it on in HushTelegram settings > Conversations. -
Faster downloadshas a third switch,Download manager, off by default. Files download one at a time, in the order you asked for them, instead of several at once. ADownloadsrow in the side menu (turn onSide menutoo) lists what's downloading, what's waiting and what's finished, with a Cancel for each file still going. A file you open or play still jumps the line. (#53) -
Voice messages in the music playerhas a new switch,Remember where playback stopped, off by default. Videos, voice messages and music pick up where you left off, even short ones. Telegram only does that for long ones. Turn it off and everything plays as Telegram plays it. (#53) -
Add Repeat to the message menuhas a new switch,Select between, off by default. It adds a button to the bar that shows while you pick messages. Tap it and everything between the first and last message you picked gets selected. Pick one past the end and the gap fills in. It stops at Telegram's 100 message limit. (#53) -
Folder iconsis a new row with the folder tab settings. Pick Regular, Bold or Filled and HushTelegram draws a small icon beside each folder in its own lists, like Folder to open. A folder called Work gets a briefcase, Friends a group, and a name it doesn't know gets a plain folder. Telegram's own folder tabs stay as they are. The icons are from Phosphor Icons (MIT). Off by default. (#53) -
HushTelegram icon and namehas a fourthIcon style,Telegram's own icon. Pick it with anApp nameand Telegram keeps its usual icon, with only the name under it changed. (#37) -
Test server sign-in, under Chat list and off by default. When you sign in or add an account, the phone number screen shows Telegram's own Test Backend box. Tick it to sign that account in on Telegram's test servers, kept apart from your other accounts. Untick it to go back. With the box ticked, the phone screen also takes Telegram's test numbers (+999 66 X YYYY), which the regular app turns away as an unknown country code. (#59) -
Translate with an outside serviceaddsTranslate intoto a chat's three-dot menu, right under Translate this chat. It opens the same language list as the settings row, so you can switch between your language and English without leaving the chat. Pick one and the chat is written again in it. (#35) -
Bot token sign-in, under Chat list and off by default. Turn it on and the phone number screen gets aSign in with a bot tokenbutton, both on first sign-in and when you add an account. Paste the token @Botfather gave your bot and that account signs in as the bot. A wrong or revoked token gets a short message and the box stays open so you can fix it. Chats show up as people message the bot and you can answer them, but there's no older history, and a bot has no contacts, stickers or folders. A bot with a webhook set, or one another program is already reading, may not get its messages here. (#53)
Fixes
-
Import settingsno longer says nothing will change for a file that only picks other folder icons. It lists the change and offers to import it. -
Hide sponsored proxy channelworks the moment you flip it. The proxy's channel used to stay in the chat list until the next message or update came in. -
Hide Premium, gifts and Starsnow takes Send a Gift out of the three-dot menu on profiles and channels too. It was still sitting there with the switch on. -
If you hide a pinned chat and unpin it on another device, the unpin now sticks. Hidden pins also count toward your pin limit here, so you see Telegram's limit message instead of a pin the server would turn down.
-
When Google sign-in fails on Telegram's login email screen, a short message now points at the email box. Telegram used to just stay on the screen after you picked an account, and a patched copy can't get past Google there.
-
If you use Telegram's Keep-Alive Service instead of push, messages no longer wait until you open the app. Android stopped that service about a minute after you left Telegram. Now it runs with a quiet notification and keeps going. A new switch under
Repair Firebase push registration,Keep the Keep-Alive Service running, is on by default and only matters while Keep-Alive Service is on in Telegram's own settings. (#50, #54) -
Keep deleted messagesnow saves a kept photo, and any kept file or video up to 20 MB, the moment the sender deletes it. Before, a photo you hadn't opened yet just spun forever, because Telegram can't fetch a deleted message's file later. (#2) -
Disable update checksnow hides the Update Telegram bar even when Telegram found the update before you turned the switch on. The bar used to stay, since Telegram only forgets an update when a later check comes back empty. (#60) -
With
Keep Telegram's files in internal storageon, the photos and videos Telegram downloads no longer fill up the phone's gallery. The folder now gets a .nomedia file, so the gallery only shows what you save to it yourself. (#60) -
Hide greeting stickersnow also hides the custom sticker a Premium or Business user picks for their intro, the one you see when you open an empty chat with them. Only the preview of your own intro, while you edit it, keeps its sticker. (#56) -
In the
Side menu, New Message has a pencil beside it again. Telegram 13 turned the old message icon into an eye, so the row looked like it would show you something.
Other changes
-
Moved to Telegram 13.2. telegram.org's build is 13.2.0 (version code 72809) and the Google Play build is 13.2.1 (version code 72911). The 13.1 builds aren't supported anymore, so update Telegram before you patch.
-
Hide the reaction pickernow covers the bubble of reactions that pops up over a selected message too, so tapping a post to pick it for a reply or a forward can't land on a reaction. -
Hide picked chatsnow also takes hidden chats out of the forward picker, the share sheet and quick share. Saved Messages always stays in those lists.
The changelog has every earlier release too.
How to update
- Install Morphe Manager 2.5.0 or newer. 0.0.23 only needed 2.3.0, so update Manager first if that's what you patched with.
- Add HushTelegram as a patch source: https://morphe.software/add-source?github=SysAdminDoc%2FHushTelegram
- Get the right Telegram. From Google Play that's 13.2.1 (
org.telegram.messenger, version code 72911), which APKMirror and Uptodown also carry. From telegram.org's Download button it's 13.2.0 (org.telegram.messenger.web, version code 72809). The patched app needs Android 9 or newer. - Coming from 0.0.23? Get 13.2 from the same place you got 13.1 (Google Play or telegram.org), patch it and install it over your current HushTelegram with the same Morphe Manager signing key. Your settings and chats stay. New to HushTelegram? Uninstall the stock Telegram first, since Android won't put a patched app over one signed with a different key. Your chats come back when you sign in, but secret chats don't. Back up Morphe Manager's signing key after your first patch. You'll need it for every update.
- If Telegram turns down your login code with
API_ID_PUBLISHED_FLOOD, that's Telegram refusing the public API ID that ships with any patched build, the Play one included. Register your own app at my.telegram.org/apps, using only letters and numbers in the short name. Then selectUse registered Telegram API credentials, fill inapiIdandapiHash, and patch again. The result installs over your current HushTelegram build. Keep both values private. - Want HushTelegram's own icon, or Telegram's logo in white on the black launch screen? Turn on Expert mode in Morphe Manager and pick
HushTelegram icon and nameorBlack and white launch logobefore you patch. - For notifications, open Telegram's Settings, tap Notifications, and turn on
Keep-Alive ServiceandBackground Connectionunder Other, near the bottom of the page. On phones where Firebase notifications don't come through, try theUnifiedPush notificationsswitch on HushTelegram's Notifications page with a UnifiedPush app like ntfy. It turns those two on for you unless you've set them yourself. - To change HushTelegram's switches, open Telegram's Settings and tap HushTelegram settings, or press and hold the Telegram title at the top of your chat list. The Ways in section on that page decides which of those (plus the side menu row and the icon shortcut) stay.
The .mpp download is a patch bundle, not a Telegram APK. Installation instructions.
What was checked
All 2048 runtime tests passed locally, and all 625 patch tests passed too (162 unit tests and 463 that patch the real Telegram APKs), along with both Android lints (the shared library and the Telegram extension). Every one of the 69 patches applied without forcing to telegram.org's Telegram 13.2.0 (version code 72809) and to the Google Play build of 13.2.1 (version code 72911). For each patched build the release receipt checked the package name, version, manifest, resource table, native libraries and zip alignment.
Both builds were patched from this exact bundle and installed over the HushTelegram already on a Galaxy S25, without clearing its data. Both were signed in to Telegram. On each one the walk opened Telegram's Settings, Privacy, Folders and Themes pages and a channel, then every section of the HushTelegram settings and the Changed switches page. That's 22 screens per build, with no crash and no problem found on either.
The new Allow screenshots in chats that don't allow saving switch was checked on the same phone. With it off, a bot message that blocks saving and a channel with Restrict saving content both came out black in screenshots, same as stock Telegram. With it on, both showed normally.
