Hushfacebook v0.6.0 gathers everything since v0.5.0. It targets Facebook 580.0.0.51.74 and still supports 577.0.0.50.72, now with 59 patches, up from 51.
New patches
- Hide Meta AI questions under posts. Takes out the row of Meta AI questions Facebook adds under some posts, like "How to earn Mythic Achievements?" under a news link (#48). On by default.
- Keep post dates. Keeps the date under the poster's name when Facebook's newer post header swaps it for a rotating line or blanks it out (#40). On by default.
- Hide post prompts and Hide reel interest prompts. No more "Are you interested in this post?", "Show less" or "Are you interested in this reel?" strips, and no gap where they were. Both on by default.
- Hide affiliate product links. Removes the shop cards creators add to reels and posts. The "Commission eligible" label stays. On by default.
- Hide the Feeds header. The Feeds tab opens straight on its posts, without the title row and the All, Favorites and Friends filters (#34). In the default selection, with its switch off.
- Tab bar at the bottom. Moves the tab bar to the bottom on accounts that have it at the top (#49). In the default selection, with its switch off.
- Start on x86 devices. Facebook starts on an emulator or an x86 Chromebook instead of crashing or hanging on its splash screen. In the default selection, with no switch.
Andrew Liang wrote the first version of the affiliate links patch and both prompt patches. Thank you!
Fixes and changes
- Downloads. A new Save to option puts saves in Movies and Pictures, DCIM or Download (#42). Download can also send a video's link to YTDLnis, Seal or another app you name instead of saving it (#41). File names take an
{owner_id}token (#6), and a save that WhatsApp or an editor may refuse now tells you, with a button that opens the switch that fixes it (#11, #14). - Tap to play. A video you open from a link in another app, like your browser, plays again (#59).
- Your own font file reaches posts, menus, comments, bold and medium names and Android's own text views like the search box, including on accounts where Facebook draws in Roboto (#1).
- Material You and AMOLED. The palette now reaches the blues that stayed in dark mode (#37), along with Marketplace home and the buttons Facebook builds from its own layouts. AMOLED black has a Background colour option for anyone who finds pure black too harsh (#34).
- Ads and suggestions. Sponsored reels that arrive looking like ordinary reels are caught now (#47, #35). Hide Stories tray also takes out the story rows between posts (#45), and the Stories tray loses its "Find friends from contacts" and People you may know cards. Hide suggested groups on its own now hides just the groups row, not Facebook's other promo cards.
- Keep the reel speed holds the speed you pick through taps and swipes (#25).
- Settings. The word list editors scroll as one page with the keyboard open (#58). Export settings carries the Download action and its app, and a file with long word lists imports again. The overview tells you when default patches are missing from your build, and which ones (#29, #35).
- Google Play updates. The README explains how to add Morphe's own Disable Play Store updates patch if Play keeps offering a Facebook update it can't install (#46).
The changelog has every change.
Update
- Refresh the Hushfacebook source in Morphe Manager 1.32.0 or newer.
- Patch the arm64-v8a, Android 11+ bundle of Facebook 580.0.0.51.74, build 475019344. Facebook 577.0.0.50.72, build 474426275, is also supported.
- Install over your current patched Facebook using the manager's existing signing key. Keep that key to preserve update compatibility.
The .mpp download is a patch bundle, not a Facebook APK. Installation instructions.
Known limitations
A few fixes haven't been seen working on a phone yet, because the account I test with has never been shown what they fix. Keep post dates is one, since that account always gets the plain date line. Story rows between posts and a live post with a shop link haven't come up either. The link fix for #59 was checked opening a link from the browser, not yet from a Messenger chat. Default playback quality hasn't been tried on video stories. The changelog says what each check covered.
Review diagnostic reports before sharing them. The filter can still miss private text it doesn't recognise.
Validation
Local checks passed: 1470 runtime tests and 672 patch tests with no failures, plus both Android lints and the release-script checks. All 59 patches applied without forcing to both supported Facebook builds, with no resource or injected-code structural errors. The dependency advisory check found no advisory for gson 2.14.0, kotlin-stdlib 2.4.20 or annotations 13.0.
