This one needs Morphe Manager 2.2.0 or newer, so update Manager before you patch. Posts can get Save and Download buttons under them, and new switches take Like, Comment, Share or Send off posts and reels, hide posts from Pages or drop the dislike on comments. Feed videos can get a cast button, downloads can go to an SD card, and 32-bit phones work now. You can also pick your own badge and logo colors, sort reels by most liked and copy a reel's whole caption.
New in this release
-
New
Badge and logo colorslets you pick your own color for the red count badges on the tabs and for the blue Facebook logo at the top of Home. Type a color code like #2ECC71 inBadge colororLogo colorunder Appearance and restart Facebook. Left blank, both keep Facebook's colors, and settings backups carry them (Refs #263). -
Facebook 584.0.0.51.56 now works on 32-bit phones too. The armeabi-v7a Android 11+ bundle, build 475817404, is declared next to the arm64 build 475817393, and every patch applies to it. Contributed by toidicakhia (Refs #254).
-
Hide the Create buttonunder Tabs and navigation takes the + button for new posts, reels and stories out of the top bar, on both versions of the bar Facebook hands out. It starts off and shows after a restart (Refs #257). -
A reel's More menu has
Copy captionnow. It copies the whole caption, including the part hidden behind See more, so there's no more screenshotting a long caption to get its text. It's on by default, andCopy reel captionsunder Reels and Watch turns it off (Refs #240). -
You can pick a plain home screen icon when you patch. The
Icon styleoption of Hushfacebook settings in Morphe draws Facebook's "f" white on black or black on white, andFacebook colors(the default) leaves the icon alone. Themed icons on Android 13 and up still work with either one (Refs #278). -
New
Show full post textputs a long post's whole text in the feed, so there's no See more to tap. It starts off. Turn it on under News feed in Hushfacebook's settings, and the diagnostic report counts each post it kept whole (Refs #268). -
Downloads can go to an SD card. Pick it in
Save on, right aboveSave tounder Downloads, and videos and photos land on the card in the same folders they'd use on the phone. The phone's storage stays the default. If the card is out of the phone, saves go to the phone's storage until you put it back, so a save never fails over a missing card (Refs #274). -
Reels can pause while you read their comments. Turn on
Pause reels while comments are openunder Comments and writing, and a playing reel stops when its comments open and picks up from the same spot when you close them. A reel you start yourself under the comments keeps playing (Refs #266). -
Words to hideandWords that keep a posthave a test box under the list now. Paste a post's text and it says whether that post would hide or stay, and which list decided, using the list as you've typed it so far, before you tap Save. Nothing you paste gets saved, and only its first 16,384 characters are checked. -
Newest reels firstis calledSort loaded reelsnow, and aReels orderrow right under it picks how:Newest(the old behavior and still the default) orMost liked. It still only reorders the reels Facebook has already loaded for you. A reel without the count it's sorted by keeps Facebook's spot for it. Search finds the switch by its old name too, and settings backups carry the order (Refs #134). -
Feed videos can get a cast button. Facebook took its own casting out, so
Cast button on feed videosunder Video and audio puts a button in the video's top right corner that hands it to a casting app you already have, like Web Video Caster, and that app sends it to your TV. It starts off and needs a build with the video download patch. If the video hasn't loaded a file yet, it says so and asks you to play it for a moment first (Refs #182). -
Posts can have Save and Download buttons under them now, next to Like, Comment and Share.
Save button under postsadds Facebook's own Save button, filled bookmark and all.Download button under postsadds a Download button to posts with a video or photos, and it saves them the same way the post's menu does (an album saves every photo). Both are under News feed and start off. Download needs a build with the video or photo download patch, and posts with nothing to save don't get the button. Right below them,Hide Like under posts,Hide Comment under posts,Hide Share under postsandHide Send under postseach take one button out of that row in the feed. Reels get the same under Reels and Watch:Hide Like on reels,Hide Comment on reelsandHide Share on reelstake that button off the side of a reel, next to the Save and WhatsApp switches that were already there (Refs #151, Refs #265). -
Hide dislike on commentsunder Comments and writing takes the thumbs-down off comments, the one Facebook puts next to Like on reels and videos. Like and Reply stay. It starts off (Refs #241). -
Hide posts from Pagesunder News feed takes posts written by Pages out of the feed, the Pages you follow included. Friends' and group posts stay, and so does a friend's share of a Page's post. It starts off (Refs #262).
Fixes
-
With
See-through barson, a blurred strip no longer hangs above the bottom tab bar while it slides away or comes back. The blur used to spread past the bar's edge whenever the bar was partly faded (Refs #250, #124). -
With
Picture-in-pictureoff, reels no longer shrink into a floating window when you leave Facebook. Some accounts get Facebook's own version of that window, switched on from Facebook's side or from its Media settings, and it used to slip past the switch (Refs #252, #256). -
With
Open feed videos on their ownon, a regular video post in your feed (one that isn't a reel) starts as fast as it does with the switch off. That now includes video posts you open from inside a group. Their full screen viewer used to sit on a blank loading screen first, for up to a second on the home feed and two seconds or more in a group. Reels you open from the feed still play alone with nothing after them (Refs #237). -
With
Tap to playon, a video you open from a comment plays in Facebook's full screen player again. It used to sit paused there until you left Facebook and came back (Refs #242).
Other changes
-
You need Morphe Manager 2.2.0 or newer now. The patches are built on Morphe patcher 2.0.1, which uses less memory while patching, and older Managers refuse a bundle built on it, so update Manager first. Desktop patching needs morphe-desktop 1.19.1 or newer.
-
Hush titles are drawn in Facebook's blues now, shifting slowly with a light sheen moving across. That covers the settings bar and search, Hush dialogs, the screen shown when settings can't open, and the lock cover. Every color stays readable on its background in every theme, and the titles keep moving even with Android's animations off.
-
Long sections are easier to scan. News feed, Reels and Watch, Video and audio, Appearance and Pause, backup and diagnostics group their rows under small headings like
Content filters,Video qualityandTroubleshooting, still right on the main page. Where the tab bar sits, what it does while you scroll, which tabs hide and their dots all moved to a new Tabs and navigation section.Tab bar positionandTab bar while scrollingare each one pick from three now, with Facebook's own behavior first, so the two old switches can't fight each other. -
A few names got clearer. Playback is Video and audio, Links is Links and sharing, Chats is Chats and Messenger, and Set when you patched is Built-in changes. Writing joined Comments, and the quality row reads
Default quality. Search still finds everything by its old name.Save crashes to Downloadsmoved from Privacy to Troubleshooting, right above Pause, and Support keeps help and restart apart from supporting the project. -
Hide posts with words you choosenow reads a shared link's headline and the line under it too, so a news post whose only mention of a word is in its link preview hides. That includes the newer cards Facebook draws from its own layout, where the headline isn't a plain field. A keep word on the preview still keeps the post (Refs #255). -
The
Only from a reel's More menudescription says which reels get the Picture-in-picture row. Upright reels do, wide ones never did, and the old wording made a missing row look like a bug (Refs #252). -
Patching with
Material You themeon is faster. Its scans now skip the parts of Facebook they can't change, and the patched app comes out the same as before (Refs #236). -
The README now explains how to go back to an earlier release that lists your Facebook version. You add its bundle as a local source in Manager, patch with the same key and install over your copy. Sign-in and settings stay, and the README lists what
Export settingsleaves out. The steps follow Manager 2.2's own screens and cover what to do when Manager reports a Package conflict instead of installing. -
Accent colorworks with the Material You theme now. It used to sit greyed out whenever Material You was patched in. Now the color you pick replaces your wallpaper's accent and the wallpaper's greys stay, while the first choice,Wallpaper accent, keeps the phone's own. It's picked in Hushfacebook's settings under Appearance with no repatch, and Facebook picks it up after a restart (Refs #272).
Behind the scenes
-
A device walk no longer fails a page because something an earlier step left open is sitting on top of it. On the S22 the long press on a reel left a comment sheet over the next page, and the Notifications step failed on two walks in a row. When a page can't be confirmed, the walk now presses Back once and opens the link again. Checked in the audit's tests.
-
The device walk reads the phone's screen text as UTF-8. Started from Git Bash, it read it in the console's old code page, so the curly apostrophe in a notification's settings button never matched and the Notifications step failed on a page that was right there. Checked in the audit's tests.
-
Device audits read their settings snapshots in Windows PowerShell too, so the push check no longer fails every restore case where git can't find pwsh.
-
The source audit reads the Morphe Patch Tracker in Windows PowerShell too. The tracker now lists two bundles whose names differ only by capital letters, and when git couldn't find pwsh the push check stopped on it.
The changelog has every earlier release too.
How to update
- Update Morphe Manager to 2.2.0 or newer, then refresh the Hushfacebook source.
- Patch Facebook
584.0.0.51.56. On most phones that's build475817393, the arm64-v8a one. Phones with a 32-bit processor take build475817404, the armeabi-v7a one. - Install over your current patched Facebook with the manager's existing signing key. Keep that key so updates keep working.
The .mpp download is a patch bundle, not a Facebook APK. Installation instructions.
Look over a diagnostic report before you share it. The filter can still miss private text it doesn't recognize.
What was checked
Local checks passed: 3928 tests with no failures, plus both Android lints and the release-script checks. All 105 patches applied without forcing to Facebook 584.0.0.51.56, both the 64-bit and the 32-bit build, and a second build of the same commit matched this bundle entry for entry (820 entries). I patched Facebook with this exact bundle and walked the whole app with every switch on, on an emulator signed in to a full account. 79 of 106 hook families ran there, Hide the Create button, Tap to play and Don't save search history among them, all 23 settings pages opened in dark and in light, and Facebook didn't crash once. Android's verifier raised nothing on the patched build, the same as on Meta's own. The walk doesn't reach downloads, chats or the story viewer, so those are covered by the patch tests alone this time, and the 32-bit build was checked by its patch tests rather than on a device.
