This release is mostly your requests again. You can keep your searches out of Facebook's history, hide posts from groups you haven't joined, take the For you list off search and hide the Find friends card where your friends' posts run out. Reels get switches for the audio line, Save and the speaker button, and a long press on a feed post can open its comments. Kept reel speeds now last through a restart, Black cards make the AMOLED theme fully black, and a Free stuff shortcut opens Marketplace's free listings. On the fix side, Hide Menu promotions reaches the side Menu, Default comment order works on a post's own page and the logo long press works in Arabic.
New in this release
-
New patch,
Don't save search history. With its switch under Search on, what you search for isn't added to your Facebook search history, so there's nothing to clear by hand later. Searches already there stay until you delete them. It starts off (issue #196). -
New switch under Reels and Watch,
Hide the audio line on reels. It takes the "Original audio" or song line off the bottom of reels, and the other info there stays. It's part ofClean up Reelsand starts off (issue #200). -
New switch under News feed,
Hide the Find friends card. The "Want to see more posts from friends?" card with its Find friends button stops showing where your friends' posts run out, and the "You're all caught up with friends" line above it goes too, since Facebook builds them as one block. It starts off (issue #187). -
New switch under News feed,
Hide posts from groups you're not in. Posts from groups you haven't joined, like a friend's post in a public group with a Join button next to its name, stop showing on Home. Posts from your own groups stay, and so does a friend sharing a group post to their profile. While it's on, Home always asks Facebook whether you're in each group, since some accounts don't get that by default. It's part ofHide suggested and promoted postsand starts off (issue #195). -
New switch under Search,
Hide For you in search. When you open search, the For you list of searches Facebook suggests, with its Refresh button, doesn't show. Your recent searches stay, and so do the suggestions while you type. It's part ofHide suggested and promoted postsand starts off (issue #80). -
New switch under Downloads,
Convert to keep the full size. WithSave videos other apps can openon, a full size video Facebook only has as VP9 or AV1 gets converted to H.264 on your phone, so it isn't saved at a smaller size any more. It's slower, videos over 10 minutes still save smaller, and it starts off (issue #189). Checked in tests, not yet on a phone. -
New switch under Reels and Watch,
Hide Save on reels. It takes the Save button off the side of reels, and the buttons above it move down. It's part ofClean up Reelsand starts off (issue #190). -
New switch under Reels and Watch,
Hide the speaker button on reels. It takes the speaker button off the bottom of the side of reels, and your phone's volume buttons still turn the sound on. It's part ofClean up Reelsand starts off (issue #190). -
Long press opens commentsworks on feed posts now, not just reels. Hold a post's photo or the line with its name and that post's comments open, ready to read, without the keyboard popping up. That includes the photo inside a post someone shared. When the bottom of a long post is still off screen, the feed scrolls up just enough to bring it in first. Holding the post's text (a text post on a colored background too), a profile picture or one of the buttons under the post does what it always did, and nothing opens if a call or another app takes the screen before you let go. The switch still starts off (issue #179). -
New switch under Appearance,
Black cards, for the AMOLED black theme. Cards, comments, menus, the Create story tile and the strip behind the Menu's Log out button go fully black like the page instead of the near black that sets them apart, and buttons like See more and Log out keep a dark gray fill so they still show. It starts off and needs a restart (issue #191). -
Menu tiles to hidelists the rows under Help and support and Settings and privacy too, so Orders and payments or Report a problem can leave the Menu (issue #153). They show up in the list once you've opened those groups in the Menu, and the rows Hushfacebook adds there always stay. -
New switch under Marketplace,
Free stuff shortcut. Facebook's app has no Free category in Marketplace, so this adds Free stuff to the menu you get by holding Facebook's icon (right after the Hushfacebook entry, if there's room) and a Free stuff row to the Menu's Settings and privacy. Both open Marketplace's free listings, the same ones the website's Free Stuff category shows. It starts off (Discussion #52). -
With
Skip silent partson, a reel's More menu and a video post's three-dot menu get aSkip silent partsrow. Tap it and that one video plays its quiet stretches again, right away, while every other video keeps skipping them. Tap it again to go back to skipping. The row needsResume long videospatched in too, and the post menu one needsDownload any video(issue #144). The reel row is seen on a phone, the post menu row so far in tests.
Fixes
-
Back on App Lock's locked screen sends Facebook to the background again on Android 16. Facebook now targets Android 16, so Back reaches the locked screen through a different path there, and it did nothing at all.
-
Hide Menu promotionsnow reaches the Menu that slides in from the side, the one some accounts open with the three lines button next to the Facebook logo (issue #184). Facebook can fill that panel with a second Menu drawn by its server, which nothing in Hushfacebook touched, so Upgrades and Also from Meta stayed put. While any Menu switch is on, the panel gets the same Menu the Menu tab shows, with your hidden sections gone and the Hushfacebook row under Settings and privacy. -
A copy made with Clone app looks up its own resources and app info where Facebook's code spells out its package name (issue #16). Morphe renames a clone's resource table along with its package, so the lookups Firebase's notifications make for their text, icon and sound found nothing in a clone, and the login and consent links, device login and Xiaomi's icon badge were pointed at the stock app. They go to the clone now. Where Facebook means Meta's own app, like handing a link to an installed Facebook, nothing changes. Checked against Facebook's code, not yet on a phone.
-
With
Picture-in-pictureon, a Facebook link you open from another app while a reel floats in the small window opens its page full screen, and the reel keeps playing in its window (issue #126). Before, the link just brought the floating reel back to full screen, or opened Facebook's Home instead of the page. -
With
Keep the progress barand its time on, swiping to the next reel shows 0:00 and that reel's length right away (issue #120). Before, the time went missing until the reel started playing, about a second on a slow connection. -
The Saved and Watch history entries you can add to the menu you get by holding Facebook's icon now sit right after the Hushfacebook entry, ahead of Facebook's own. Samsung phones show only the first four, and with Facebook's Notifications, Friends and Reels behind the Hushfacebook entry, yours got added but never showed. Facebook's entries just move down one.
-
With
Keep the progress baron, a reel Facebook doesn't hand a bar to no longer shows the last reel's frozen spot and time (issues #90 and #120). They stay hidden until you're back on that reel or the next one takes the bar. -
Default comment orderapplies on a post's own page too, the one a link, a notification or a post's date opens (issue #192). That page asks Facebook for its comments another way than the comment sheet does, so Most relevant or Newest only took hold in the sheet and the page kept Facebook's order. -
Hide the new comments pop-uptakes away the newer pop-up as well, the one with the commenters' pictures on it (issue #185). Facebook has two of them now and the switch only knew the older one. Checked in tests, not yet on a phone. -
With
View stories anonymouslyon, a story you watched to the end stays grey through the feed's refreshes (issue #165). Facebook rebuilds the story tray a dozen times a second when it opens and again with each refresh, and only the first eight copies in a minute got marked, so a ring could turn back blue moments after it went grey. -
Leave calls and chats to Messengerworks with a Messenger installed under another name beside Meta's apps, the way HushMessenger's "install beside" option makes one (issue #193). Facebook only counted Meta's own Messenger package, so with a renamed copy it kept ringing and posting the same chat notification Messenger posted. The Messenger icon at the top and the Get Messenger card already counted such a copy. -
Hide the notes and active now rowtakes the whole row away now. Your own "Your note" tile used to stay behind and keep the row at full height. -
With
Save videos other apps can openon, a long video Facebook only has as VP9 or AV1 keeps its full size when it's made H.264. A thin four minute 1080p reel used to run out of the room set aside for the conversion and save at 720p instead (issue #189). -
With
Save videos other apps can openon, a video over 10 minutes that Facebook only has as VP9 or AV1 goes straight to its smaller H.264 file. Before, it downloaded the full size first, gave up on converting it and showed two error messages on the way. -
See-through barskeeps its blur on Home after you've been to Reels. Before, a trip to Reels could leave the bars plain see-through until Facebook restarted (issue #188). -
Menu tiles to hidenow hides Feeds, Reels, Memories, Birthdays, Dating and Pages, which it missed on 583, and tiles you ticked before carry over. The list shows the tiles your own Menu has, by the names Facebook gives them, so Crisis response, Community Notes, Pokes and the rest can go too (issue #153). -
A video whose best file is over 512 MB saves the next smaller one instead of nothing, and the message at the end says which quality you got. A two hour reel's 720p file was 645 MB and the save just failed, though Facebook also had it at 480p. Checked in tests, not yet on a phone.
-
A long press on the Facebook logo opens the Hushfacebook settings with Facebook in Arabic too. In some languages Facebook gives the logo nothing to do when it's tapped, and the long press never got set up there (issue #12).
-
Where a reel's More menu opens the gear menu's speed sheet, the sheet marks the speed the reel really plays at, so you can pick
1 (Normal)to drop a kept speed (issue #199). Facebook couldn't find the reel's player there and always marked Normal, and a tap on the marked row does nothing, so a kept speed stayed until you turnedKeep the reel speedoff.
Other changes
-
Hide the search pill on reelsalso takes the search suggestion off the top of a reel's comments. Comments start right at the top of the sheet, and the one under the caption stays hidden like before (#197). -
Hide the search pill on reelsalso takes the search bar off the top of reels you open from a profile, along with the paper plane button next to it that searches the suggested words. The back arrow stays (#201). -
Keep the reel speedandKeep the video speedremember the speed you picked after Facebook or the phone restarts, so the first reel or video you play starts at it. Pick normal speed and it's gone for good (#199). Seen on a phone with reels, and checked in tests for feed videos. -
Turn off screen transitionsalso skips the zoom a photo opens and closes with. Tap a photo in the feed and it's full screen right away, and Back puts it away without shrinking it into the post. Dragging a photo away still follows your finger. -
Turn off screen transitionsalso skips the slides of screens Facebook opens inside the app, the ones that slide in from the side and back out to the right when you press Back. They just appear and go now. -
Turn off screen transitionsalso covers posts with several photos. Tap one of the photos and its page is there right away, without the photo growing out of its tile or the gray background fading in. Back closes it just as fast, with no shrink into the tile or slide off the screen. -
Turn off screen transitionsalso stops the single-photo viewer from sliding. A photo that opens without its spot in the feed used to slide up from the bottom, and one that can't shrink back into the post slid off the screen on Back. Both just appear and go now. -
Stop link history in Facebook's browseralso stops the request that saves a page you opened to your Facebook link history, its address, title and times, from either place in the browser that asks for it. Before, it only stopped the two parts that record pages, and Facebook's browser has a second way in to that save. -
Stop link history in Facebook's browseralso stops the two reports Facebook's browser logs when you fill in a form on a page. One of them names the page's address, the form's fields and the ad the page came from. Autofill itself isn't touched, so it fills forms and remembers what you turned down the same as before. -
The
Home showsrow and theFollowing feed on Homedescription say what the filter really does: Home asks Facebook for that filter's posts, and when there's nothing new Facebook can still fill Home with suggested posts and reels. Both now point toHide "Suggested for you" postsandHide Reels in the feed, which take those out. A Home set to Friends got 39 suggested posts, 21 ads and 2 friends' posts in one test, so the old wording promised more than Facebook gives. -
With Debug logging on and
Clean up Reelspatched in, a report says whether a reel that just ended is the one Facebook's Reels auto-advance is following, or one it let go of after a swipe. An option to go to the next reel on its own needs that answer first. Only fixed labels and counts are written, nothing about the reel itself. -
A report counts each press held on a feed post with
Long press opens commentson, and when the comments didn't open it says why: the post text's own long press, a hold on the buttons under the post, a list that doesn't scroll, the screen losing focus, or a lift that came before the timer ran. With Debug logging on, the line also names the kind of view under your finger and its size. Nothing about the post goes in (issue #179). -
With Debug logging on, a report says more when a game's download screen closes right away. Next to the module and the error, its line lists the steps Facebook's downloader took for that module in the last 30 seconds and what the download task ended with, so one report can show where a game that won't open stopped (issue #168).
-
With Debug logging on, a report gets a line for Bengali text the first time each part of Facebook lays it out. It lists the font's line height at that size, how high and low the letters really reach, and how much room Facebook left them, so a report can show where captions lose the tops of their letters (issue #96). The text itself isn't logged.
-
With Debug logging on, a report lists what each kind of feed request asked Facebook for, like its feed style and ordering. That lets Home with a
Home showsfilter be compared with the same filter on the Feeds tab, since Home with Friends still comes back full of suggestions for some accounts. Ids, page cursors and anything that isn't a plain one-word value are left out. -
With Debug logging on, each feed post's line in a report ends with a short code, and the same code comes up again when Facebook counts that post as seen. Lining the two up shows whether a post at the top of Home came from that run's request or from what Facebook kept from an earlier one. The code is six characters cut from a one-way hash of Facebook's id for the post, so it can't be turned back into the post.
-
With Debug logging on, Marketplace's report lines name a listing's price, title, photo, delivery and seller fields when Facebook sends them, where before they only counted as other fields. They also name its place, its sold or pending state, the parts of the price and place, and whether the seller is a person, a page or a business. A long page of search results is read to the end now, where it used to stop partway and mark the capture incomplete. A listing's own page is read too, and so is a search page Facebook sends as one big block, which used to stop the capture before it read anything. The lines also say whether a listing came with a description, a posting time, a map point or an inventory kind. When a capture is incomplete, the report says why, so one that only ran out of room for new lines can be told from one that stopped reading. Only the field names and their kinds go in, never prices, titles, links or ids.
-
With Debug logging on, a report lists what kind each row on the search screen is before you type anything, along with the section names Facebook gives it, to help tell People you may know and For you apart there (issue #80). Only those type and section names go in, never ids, names or what you searched.

Behind the scenes
-
The device audit no longer fails a run just because Facebook didn't serve a sponsored post on the profile or a new-reels badge that day. Families that wait on what Facebook serves are named by
-MayIdleand recorded in the baseline undermayIdle. A walk notes whether each one ran, and a new baseline never lists them among the families that must run. -
The spots where a patch won't split Facebook's code now count switch cases too, not only branches. If a Facebook update puts a case right after a line a patch hooks, that patch skips the spot or stops with a clear message, rather than hooking it where the case would jump past the hook.
The changelog has every earlier release too.
How to update
- Update Morphe Manager to 1.34.0 or newer, then refresh the Hushfacebook source.
- Patch Facebook
583.0.0.39.55. On most phones that's build475614366, the arm64-v8a one. Phones with a 32-bit processor take build475614365, the armeabi-v7a one. - Install over your current patched Facebook with the manager's existing signing key. Keep that key so updates keep working.
The .mpp download is a patch bundle, not a Facebook APK. Installation instructions.
Look over a diagnostic report before you share it. The filter can still miss private text it doesn't recognize.
What was checked
Local checks passed: 3429 runtime tests and 1093 patch tests with no failures, plus both Android lints and the release-script checks. All 94 patches applied without forcing to Facebook 583.0.0.39.55, both the arm64-v8a and the 32-bit build, and a second build of the same commit matched this bundle entry for entry. I patched 583 with this bundle and installed it over the build already on a phone. Facebook opened signed in with no crash and took a profile with every switch on. The whole-app audit then walked the feed, a post's comments, the Watch page, a reel, Notifications, Marketplace, the profile and the Menu, and searched for a common word. 67 of the 95 hook families ran on that walk, Don't save search history among them. Hide the Feeds header didn't get a turn because that account's Menu has no Feeds shortcut, and Hide sponsored profile posts and Hide the Reels tab dot need something Facebook didn't serve that day. The phone runs the 64-bit build, so the 32-bit build was checked by the patch tests alone. Each changelog bullet says whether a phone has shown it or only the tests have.
