This Canary introduces assistant-driven tool approval, automatic recovery from retryable chat failures, and clearer error diagnostics, alongside improvements to Windows installation and desktop capture stability.
✨ Features & Improvements
- 🔥 Automatic Tool Approval: Choose between manual approval, assistant-driven approval, and full access directly in chat. The approval assistant evaluates pending operations using the conversation context and action details, and can be configured separately in System Assistant settings. Mode changes apply to the next turn by default, with an option to switch the current turn immediately.
- 🔥 Automatic Request Recovery & Clearer Errors: Retryable chat failures now trigger automatic retries with configurable limits and increasing delays. Recovery preserves completed tool cycles while discarding output from failed attempts. The chat displays retry progress and cancellation status, while redesigned error details provide clearer failure explanations and diagnostics that can be copied for troubleshooting. Explicitly interrupted or unsuccessful responses are no longer treated as normal completion.
- Serply Web Search: Added Serply as a web search provider, configurable from the web search plugin settings. (#496 - Thanks to @googio)
- Windows Installation & Service Mode: Refined upgrade and legacy-installation migration flows, with visible uninstall progress and retry, ignore, or abort options when uninstalling the previous version fails. Improved preservation of startup and background-service preferences during supported in-place upgrades, and adjusted post-install launch to use the desktop user’s identity.
- Interface Polish: Refined chat and settings styles, improved pointer interaction with the conversation turn navigator, and added consistent copy feedback for prompts, skills, and MCP logs.
- Office Tool Reliability: Disabled OfficeCLI’s automatic installation and update behavior during tool execution to keep the bundled environment more predictable.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed certain settings changes, including the selected Tavily API key, not being saved correctly or retained after restarting. (#504)
- Fixed compatibility issues when sending screen-context reset messages to models such as DeepSeek that do not support the developer message role.
- Improved Windows screenshot stability by isolating capture operations on dedicated threads and correcting resource cleanup and shutdown sequencing. (#512)

✨ 新特性与优化
- 🔥 自动工具审批： 可直接在聊天中选择“请求批准”、“帮我批准”或“完全访问权限”。审批助手会结合对话上下文和具体操作决定是否放行，也可在“系统助手”设置中单独指定。模式变更默认从下一轮对话生效，也支持立即切换当前轮次。
- 🔥 请求自动恢复与清晰的错误提示： 聊天遇到可重试的错误时，现在会自动重试，支持配置重试次数，并逐步增加等待间隔。恢复过程保留已经完成的工具调用轮次，清除失败尝试产生的输出。聊天界面可显示重试进度和取消状态，重新设计的错误详情提供更明确的失败原因及可复制的诊断信息；模型明确返回的中断或失败也不再被当作正常完成。
- 新增 Serply 网页搜索： 支持在网页搜索插件设置中配置并使用 Serply 搜索服务。 (#496 - 感谢 @googio)
- Windows 安装与服务模式优化： 完善升级和旧版安装迁移流程，展示卸载进度，并在旧版本卸载失败时提供重试、忽略或中止选项。改进受支持的原路径升级过程中对开机启动和后台服务偏好的保留，并调整安装完成后的启动方式，使应用以桌面用户身份运行。
- 界面细节优化： 调整聊天与设置页面样式，改善对话轮次导航的鼠标交互，并统一提示词、技能和 MCP 日志的复制反馈。
- Office 工具稳定性： 禁用 OfficeCLI 在工具执行过程中的自动安装与更新行为，使内置运行环境更加可控。
🐛 Bug 修复
- 修复了部分设置变更无法正确保存或重启后丢失的问题，包括 Tavily 搜索服务所选的 API 密钥。 (#504)
- 修复了向 DeepSeek 等不支持 developer 消息角色的模型发送屏幕上下文重置消息时的兼容性问题。
- 改进 Windows 截图稳定性，将截图操作隔离到专用线程，并修正资源释放和关闭流程。 (#512)
