Bloodborne for Windows 1.9.2: frame generation leak, 4 GB crash and stretched polygons fixed

Fixes for crashes, video memory and stretched polygons, and a way to go back to an earlier version.

Fixes

  • Frame generation memory leak: with FSR 3.1 frame generation on, video memory grew every frame until the game slowed down and crashed ("device lost"). It now stays steady.
  • 4 GB graphics cards: entering big areas or returning to the Hunter's Dream could crash with "ErrorOutOfDeviceMemory". The game now frees textures it is not using and carries on; you may see a short stutter instead of a crash.
  • Stretched polygons / "vertex explosion": the remaining cases on NVIDIA and Intel GPUs are fixed. The shader cache rebuilds once after updating, so the first minutes may stutter a little.

New

  • Advanced > Other versions…: install any version from 1.8.2 to the newest. Saves, settings and mods are kept. To stay on an older version, switch off "Check for updates when the launcher opens".

Known issues

  • On Intel graphics, stretched polygons can still appear when an upscaler is on.
  • Cards with 4 GB of video memory remain tight in long sessions; FSR 3.1 Performance and a 60 FPS cap help.
