DS5 Bridge 2.0 brings a redesigned companion app, a steadier bridge, Wake-on-LAN, and secured firmware updates.
Highlights
- Redesigned app: a new sidebar, a DualSense tab for Audio, Haptics, Adaptive Triggers and Lighting, a searchable Settings page, five themes, UI scale and text size settings, and eight more languages.
- Wake-on-LAN: press the PS button to wake a wired PC from sleep, hibernate or shutdown over your Wi-Fi network. Set it up in Settings > Wake PC, which checks that your PC is ready.
- Secured UF2 mode: entering UF2 mode from the app now has to be confirmed on the controller.
- Multiple bridges: each bridge keeps its own profiles and settings, and the bridge picker updates instantly.
- Steadier bridge: the firmware runs entirely from SRAM with a hardened Bluetooth transport and recovers on its own after a fault. Settings shows why the bridge last restarted.
Fixes and improvements
- Persona switching is more reliable and is only offered while a controller is connected.
- Each bridge has its own controller identity, so Steam and SDL no longer merge two bridges into one.
- Chord keyboard and media shortcuts respond instantly.
- Test Haptics works reliably and explains why when it can't run. App Audio Haptics resumes when the game comes back.
- The Windows microphone mute is now honored.
- The battery level stays correct while the controller is plugged in.
- Xbox mode sticks rest at exact center.
- Game lightbar colors survive app refreshes and LED changes.
- The app opens instantly, uses less CPU and memory in the tray, and shows a larger battery percentage in the tray icon.
Update the companion app and Pico firmware together for the best experience.
Important: Only flash the Waveshare firmware if you have a Waveshare RP2350B-Plus-W board. Standard Pico 2 W users must use the standard firmware build.
