A disconnect now says why it happened
spectrum WS disconnected — 1s, 18 KB delivered was the same sentence whether the listener hung up, the network broke mid-send, or the server dropped them. That made one question unanswerable: is it us, or is it the connection?
Each disconnect now names the cause — closed by peer (the ordinary case), send failed (the network broke under us), or closed by server (we dropped them, and the line above says why).
It is deliberately not recorded in the shared teardown path: the ordinary, healthy disconnect goes through there too, so marking it in one place would have labelled every normal close as the server's doing — answering "was it us?" with a confident yes every time. A false attribution ends an investigation instead of starting one.
