HackRF One support now reaches the Mac server, the Android server, the app and the watch — still experimental and still unadvertised, because nobody on the VibeSDR side owns one. The driver is identical on every platform; it has been tested on Linux by a single listener.
The three gain stages (RF amp, LNA, baseband VGA) are now in the app and on Jr as well as the web client, with the amp and bias-T kept owner-only. There is no AGC control anywhere for this radio, because it has no automatic gain of any kind.
The owner's gain limit now reaches every client. The server has always enforced it, but the app and the watch were ignoring the ceiling it sends — so a gain slider could run to the hardware maximum while the server quietly clamped it, and the readout claimed gain the radio never had. That affected the RTL-SDR too, not only the HackRF. On a HackRF the two stages share one budget, so raising one lowers what the other can reach.
A new notice when a receiver is at minimum gain. A radio with the gain right down looks exactly like a broken one — flat waterfall, nothing on it — and a HackRF opens at zero by design. Connecting to such a receiver now says so once, near the tuning controls, and gets out of the way. Minimum gain is sometimes correct, so it never becomes a standing warning; on the watch it appears in the band pill, and only when there is no station to show for it.
