VibeServer for macOS 11 B6 (11.0.0~b6) — the sixth beta of V11, the same server as the Linux and Android releases. Supersedes 11 B5.
- Decoders of your own. On a server where every listener has their own dial, each listener now runs their own decoder (RTTY, NAVTEX, weather fax, SSTV, time signals, FT8/FT4) on their own frequency. Before, the last listener to open a decoder took it over for everyone, and FT8 decoded the wrong audio.
- A decoder limit the server sizes for itself. The first-run benchmark times every decoder on your hardware and sets how many can run at once; owners can change it (setup page, admin page, app). When it is full, a listener is told clearly ("All 8 decoder slots on this server are in use — try again shortly") instead of getting a broken decoder.
- Every mode has a maximum width. A listener (or a faulty client) could ask for an enormous passband and make the server build a filter dozens of times too expensive, slowing it for everyone. Each mode now has a sensible ceiling, and the owner's bandwidth cap applies to every listener.
- Wide FM widened back really is wide again — after narrowing and widening, the audio could stay narrower than the display showed.
- Advanced RDS goes only to listeners who open it, and one listener opening or closing it never changes anything for another. Its measuring path is also about 10–15 % lighter, with every figure unchanged.
- Listeners on a multi-dial radio get Opus audio again — some were sent uncompressed audio at eight times the bandwidth.
Requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer, Apple silicon. Every binary and driver in the app is built from source for macOS 14 and checked by the build. Notarised and stapled.
