VibeSDR v10.0.0

latest releases: archive/carfm-pr13, vibeserver-mac-v1.0.0
3 hours ago

The big one — four releases in one. Everyone on the App Store is coming from 6.1, so this is everything since.

VibeSDR Jr — a whole SDR on your wrist

Not a remote control and not a companion: Jr connects straight to a receiver over Wi-Fi or your watch's own cellular, with no phone involved at all. Waterfall, audio, tuning, favourites, DAB, ADS-B and FM-DX, on the watch itself. Measured on a launch-day Series 6: over five hours of continuous listening on a six-year-old battery.

VibeSDR Buddy — the Apple Watch companion

The phone-backed watch app, now clearly its own thing alongside Jr. Same waterfall, same data, same palette, with the iPhone locked in your pocket.

VibeServer — share your radio

Plug an RTL-SDR or an Airspy HF+ into an Android phone, or run VibeServer on a Mac where it also drives an SDRplay RSP. PIN protection, per-listener time limits, a web client anyone can reach from a browser, and roughly 25× lighter on the network than raw RTL-TCP.

Advanced RDS — a broadcast analyser on a phone

PI, PTY, TP/TA/MS, RadioText and RadioText+, alternative frequencies, group share, the constellation and MPX plots — and the RDS-to-pilot phase, the field the panel exists for. Calibrated against a PIRA broadcast analyser by Hans van Eijsden.

Airspy HF+ Discovery support

On Android and on the Mac, with its own sample-rate list, attenuator, preamp and AGC — described as the hardware actually is, not as a dongle.

And

  • A razor-sharp GPU waterfall with unsharp-mask sharpening and a sharpness control
  • Automatic link management — the app works out what your connection can carry and adapts continuously
  • iCloud sync for favourites and bookmarks across phone, iPad and watch
  • Full keyboard control on iPad and with any Bluetooth keyboard
  • New controls throughout: a tuning drum you can flick, or tuner-style buttons — your choice
  • A redesigned menu, with audio gathered under its own button
  • FM-DX gains the OIRT band (below 87.5 MHz), which was previously unreachable

Fixed

  • FM de-emphasis and FM stereo never reached a networked VibeServer
  • Tuning steps stopped at 1 kHz above 30 MHz, putting some airband channels out of reach entirely — 100 Hz and 500 Hz added
  • The demodulator popup's RF gain slider only spoke the RTL-SDR's gain model, so it did nothing on an Airspy or SDRplay. Removed; the correct per-radio controls are in the hardware panel
  • The guided tour pointed at the wrong menus for noise reduction and bookmarks

Android: VibeSDR-10.0.0.apk to sideload, or the app is on Google Play.
iOS: via the App Store.
