Pre-release for testing. Version stays 10.5; this is build 479.
NEW: Airspy R2 / Mini support
Nobody here owns one — this build has never been run against an Airspy. That is what this release is for. Everything below is written against the library's API and the other drivers' shapes, and compiles for both 32- and 64-bit Android.
Plug the radio into the phone (USB OTG) and Android should offer VibeSDR. It appears on the USB SDR row at the top of the server list — tap Listen.
What should be there, under the cog → Airspy Controls:
- Gain: the slider drives the 0–21 preset curve, with a Linearity / Sensitivity switch
- LNA AGC and Mixer AGC (the radio's own; each disables its stage slider)
- Manual LNA / Mixer / VGA, 0–15 each
- Bias-T and sample packing
- Sample rates come from the radio itself (Mini 3/6 MS/s, R2 2.5/10)
- No direct sampling (24–1800 MHz, there is no HF branch) and no VibeAGC yet — VibeAGC is RTL-only for now
Please report: whether it opens at all, whether the rates and stages match what you expect, and anything missing or mislabelled.

Local hardware (Android)
- Server-style locks no longer apply to your own radio. If you had ever set a VibeServer admin password, local mode used to hide PPM, bias-T, digital AGC and direct sampling, and clamp gain. Fixed and tested on hardware.
- Direct sampling now offers Auto — below the crossover the tuner is switched out for you. Tested on a real dongle: tuning from FM to 909 kHz switched it automatically.
- Settings are remembered per radio (type + serial), so an RTL-SDR, an Airspy HF+ and a HackRF stop overwriting each other's gain and sample rate.
- An RTL's minimum sample rate is no longer forced onto an Airspy HF+.
RTL-TCP
- VibeAGC works over RTL-TCP; "auto" is VibeAGC, never the dongle's own broken AGC.
- Auto direct sampling over RTL-TCP.
- A relayed stream (served by a VibeServer or UberSDR rather than a dongle) is recognised: no gain to steer, so those controls are hidden with an explanation instead of doing nothing.
UberSDR
- Fixed: FT8 audio under the frequency you tuned to. The audio socket had lost its frequency, so every reconnect — including the one a mode change forces — started a new session on the server's default.
- A reopened session now comes back with your bandwidth, squelch, SNR gate and NR, instead of silently reverting to server defaults.
- UberSDR and VibeServer are now separate codebases in the app, so a VibeServer change cannot alter UberSDR behaviour.
RDS
- A station whose name scrolls (a marquee PS) can now be named from RadioDNS, which the server was already fetching and discarding.
- A logo no longer vanishes when the scrolling name moves on.
Known not fixed: the AGC still over-gains on a strong FM band (two attempts tonight measured worse and were reverted). Anything you notice there is known.
