Local hardware (Android) — the neglected side, now fixed
- Server locks no longer apply to your own radio. Gain caps, gain/AGC locks and the admin password are applied only while the phone is serving as a VibeServer. They are phone-wide settings that were never cleared when the server stopped, so a local session after a VibeServer run inherited them — hiding the RTL's PPM, bias-T, digital AGC and direct sampling, disabling the HackRF's amp and bias-T, and clamping gain.
- Settings are remembered per radio (type + serial), not per connection type. An RTL-SDR, an Airspy HF+ and a HackRF on the same phone no longer overwrite each other's gain, sample rate and direct sampling.
- An RTL's minimum sample rate is no longer forced onto an Airspy HF+ (which tops out at 912 kHz).
- Direct sampling offers Auto (Off / On / Auto) and is remembered. The engine switches the tuner out below the crossover by itself.
RTL-TCP
- VibeAGC works over RTL-TCP. "Auto" is VibeAGC, never the dongle's own broken AGC. The engine measures the IQ and moves gain with rtl_tcp gain commands.
- Auto direct sampling over RTL-TCP.
- A relayed stream is recognised (one served by a VibeServer or UberSDR rather than a dongle): there is no tuner to steer, so the gain and dongle controls are hidden with an explanation instead of doing nothing.
UberSDR
- Fixed: FT8 audio under the frequency you tuned to. The audio socket lost its frequency, so every reconnect — including the deliberate one on an AM/USB sample-rate change — started a new session on the server's default (14.074 MHz).
- UberSDR and VibeServer are now separate codebases in the app, so a VibeServer change cannot alter UberSDR behaviour.
- RTL-TCP, SpyServer and an unknown default server are no longer opened as UberSDR from the watch.
Elsewhere
- Connection meter: ping jitter is judged by median, so one late Wi-Fi ping no longer holds the meter yellow.
- FM-DX: the shared-tuner banner ("Ask Before Tuning (You+N)").
Known / untested: none of the local hardware or RTL-TCP work has been run on a device yet — that is what this build is for. Please report what you see, including which radio you used.
