Upgrade Info – Proposal 284
Stride Proposal #284 seeks to upgrade the chain to the v34.0.0 tag of the Stride codebase at block height 40506004, which is estimated to occur on Wednesday Sep 23rd 2026 at 15:00 UTC.
Because of the uncertainty in block times, please keep track of the Stride chain for a precise estimate.
Upgrade Features
-
Swap POA validators (#1522). Removes Citadel.one and Cosmostation from the POA validator set and adds cosmosrescue and CitizenWeb3 at the same voting power. The outgoing validators are removed with a power-0 soft delete, so their accrued fees stay withdrawable. The stToken payout registry (
utils/poa.go) is updated to match. -
Clean up stuck interchain queries (#1525). Resets the stuck
SlashQueryInProgressflag on 12 cosmoshub-4 validators and deletes 30 interchain queries that timed out without ever receiving a response. -
Update governance params (#1525). Lowers quorum from 33.4% to 25% and lengthens the voting period from 3 days to 5 days. All other gov params are unchanged.
-
Reconcile Injective delegations and unblock the stuck redemption sweep (#1526). Repeated closures of the
injective-1delegation ICA channel left tracked delegations out of sync with on-chain delegations and left redemption funds staked instead of liquid, which has caused the redemption sweep to fail every epoch. The upgrade reconciles the per-validator delegation records, queues a one-shot undelegation of the excess through the normal undelegation pipeline, and sweepsinjective-1redemptions one record at a time so that records covered by the liquid balance are paid out right away. The net change to the redemption rate is zero.
Getting Prepared for the Upgrade
As always, we recommend validators use 64GB of RAM. If you are unable to have 64GB of RAM, at a minimum have a total of 64GB of swap set to prevent out of memory errors.
We highly recommend upgrading with Cosmovisor. To do this, please manually build and copy the strided binary to:
$DAEMON_HOME/cosmovisor/upgrades/v34/bin/In case anything concerning happens at upgrade time, we will notify all validators immediately on the #cc-announcements channel.
