The headline

🛰️  Remote SSH projects

A project can now live on a Linux server, a GPU box or a homelab container while the app stays on your desk. Terminals, quick actions, Claude Code chat, git and files all run on the host, over your own OpenSSH: ~/.ssh/config, keys, ssh-agent and ProxyJump work as they do in your terminal, and nothing is installed on the host but the Claude CLI (#224).

📋  A dashboard that opens on your week

The project page and the overview now start on a briefing: this week's cost, time and commits, your last Claude sessions with a Resume button, and what is waiting on you (uncommitted files, commits to push or pull, failing CI, open PRs, TODOs). The older sections are still there, folded at the bottom.

💸  A Cost tab

What your Claude Code usage would cost at API list prices, by account, project, model and day, over this week, last week, 7 or 30 days, this month or all time. For an account shared between several people, the weekly-limit card splits the percentage into this machine's share and everyone else's, with bounds rather than a guess.

⌨️  Terminal-only commands open in a terminal

/design-login, /login, /logout, /permissions, /plugin and the other commands that act on the machine or the account used to answer "isn't available in this environment" in the chat. They now open in a Claude terminal tab, on the account the conversation runs on.

🛰️ Remote SSH projects

Add a host, open a folder on it, and work as if it were local. The app is only the UI: execution and files stay on the host.

What it does
Hosts Saved profiles with user, port, ProxyJump, an identity file and optional agent forwarding. The app stores no password and no key, and never relaxes host key checking: an unknown key goes through "Verify host", where OpenSSH itself shows you the fingerprint
Open Remote Project Pick a host, browse its folders, then open one, create one, git init it or clone a repository into it
Terminals Shells, Claude terminal tabs and quick actions run on the host, in the project directory. Optionally inside tmux, so a tab survives a dropped connection or closing the app
Claude chat The CLI runs on the host, logged in there, and its session history is read from the host. A connection lost mid-turn resumes the conversation once the host is back
Git and files The Git panel, branches, worktrees, the file explorer, the Files screen, editing and diffs all work against the remote repository. VS Code, Cursor and Windsurf open remote files through their own Remote-SSH
Connection A host badge on every remote project. A drop is noticed within seconds, retried with backoff, and terminals and chats pick up where they were
What stays local Project-type dashboards, parallel tasks, local workflow nodes, this app's MCP tools and the like are greyed out with the reason, never left to fail silently

Tested from Windows through a ProxyJump to a Debian host whose /bin/sh is dash, including network drops, host restarts and bash, zsh, fish and tcsh login shells. A few things that only surfaced against a real server were fixed along the way: a cancelled command kept running on dash hosts, Windows OpenSSH reports a dropped session as -1 rather than 255, and one stalled request could hide an outage from the keepalive.

Tip

Using the tmux option from Windows and seeing a stray line like 61;6;7;21... when a session reattaches? Add set -sg escape-time 100 to the host's ~/.tmux.conf.

Everything else

New

  • Skills & Agents are compact cards with a filter that matches names, descriptions and tool names, instead of one long scroll
  • The time tracking screen drops its glows and gradients

Fixed

  • The Git panel threw after every commit, pull or push: no toast, the message stayed in the box and the panel never refreshed. It was calling a telemetry method the bridge no longer exposed
  • Files with a space or an accent in their name could not be staged: git quotes those paths in its status output, and the quotes were kept
  • Projects added by an MCP tool were ignored after the first save of a session, and a projects.json caught mid-write could be reloaded as empty and then saved over every project. Both are fixed
  • A dialog closed itself when one of its own buttons switched view
  • The chat placeholder stayed on "Queue a follow-up message" after a turn with nothing to suggest
  • Global shortcuts did not answer on Wayland, and Ctrl+Shift+T opens a shell again (#229)
  • The Claude Design grant followed whichever account was switched in next instead of staying with the account it was issued to
  • The week total reset when a week crossed a month boundary
  • The release notes link in the update banner now opens the full What's new panel
  • Skills and agents with a multi-line description in their frontmatter showed only part of it
  • Some controls ignored the chosen accent and stayed on the default orange, and three stylesheets read tokens nothing declared, which silently dropped whole declarations (an invisible terminal spinner, square overview cards, text in the wrong font)
  • Hooks left pointing at a removed install are now cleaned up
  • Parallel tasks shows its empty state for a project with no run yet

Under the hood

  • A stylesheet test fails the build when a rule reads a CSS variable nothing declares
  • An opt-in live harness (npm run test:remote-live) runs the SSH code against a real sshd, which is what found the dash and Windows OpenSSH bugs above. The design notes are in design/remote-ssh.md
  • The e2e smoke test can launch another Electron binary (CT_E2E_ELECTRON)

🙏 Thanks
