A test build of the next Windows release. If you're on 1.1.0 and things work, you don't need it; it's here for the fixes below.
Install: download BetterCast-Setup-Windows-x64.exe and run it. SmartScreen will warn because the installer isn't code-signed yet; choose More info → Run anyway. It replaces your current BetterCast install.
Fixed
- The screen no longer freezes after a UAC prompt. When Windows shows a UAC prompt (for example when an app asks for admin rights), it briefly switches to a secure desktop that apps can't capture. BetterCast used to stop sending at that moment and the receiving screen stayed frozen. It now waits for the prompt to close and picks the capture back up on its own. (#66)
- Android phones on Windows: see an Android phone's screen over Wi-Fi as well as USB, and control it over adb, including wireless adb with automatic reconnect.
- The installer stops the bundled adb server before installing or uninstalling, so files aren't left locked.
