BetterCast for Android 1.4
Install BetterCastReceiver.apk below. It updates the previous version in place and keeps your settings.
New
- Picture-in-picture. Leave the app mid-stream and the Mac's screen keeps playing in a small floating window. You can also start it from the gear menu, and turn the automatic version off in Settings › Display. Thanks to @Anyuer9837 for this one (#61).
- The stream survives closing the app. Swiping BetterCast away no longer disconnects you or makes your Mac take its extended display away. A notification shows the stream is running and has a Disconnect button. Reopen the app and the picture comes straight back.
- Native resolution. Your Mac now builds its display at your phone or tablet's own resolution, so the picture fills the screen with no black bars and no stretching (#62). Works with the Mac app you already have.
Fixed
- Devices whose video decoder rejected BetterCast's low-latency settings showed a black screen forever. The app now falls back to a standard decoder setup instead (#63).
- The picture could stay black for a moment after rotating or entering picture-in-picture.
- Picture-in-picture and the new notification are translated into all six app languages.
