- VPN chains that could not route are switched to connect over the Internet. A VPN whose config names its server by hostname cannot connect through another VPN, but earlier versions accepted the setup and connected it directly over your WAN while still showing the chain. After updating, such a VPN is set to connect over the Internet, and the change appears in the activity log. To chain it again, import a config whose
