Highlights

After updating, check your services' public domains and turn back on any you want to use. Some may be switched off during this update if the domain and its public IP addresses had different on/off settings.

Added

  • Service actions can now let you upload and download files, with progress shown during uploads.

Fixed

  • Display apostrophes and other special characters correctly in action-form list headings.

  • Correct the maximum text-length error message.

  • Submitting an action's input no longer reloads the page.

  • Pressing Enter in SMTP settings saves changes instead of cancelling them; in the test-email field, it sends the email instead of reloading the page.

  • Long dropdown lists keep their background all the way down, so the page behind no longer shows through the options.

  • Show server-provided plaintext HTTP error details and preserve meaningful timeout and cancellation errors.

  • The installer no longer offers the USB drive it was booted from as the OS drive or the data drive.

  • Automatic firewall configuration (PCP) now opens IPv6 ports on home routers, so a public address published over IPv6 is reachable without a manual firewall rule.

  • Numeric forms preserve zero defaults and honor bounds set to zero.

  • Improved access to services through public domains over IPv6.

  • Service updates keep your public domains off if you switched them off.

  • For services that StartOS forwards directly, public domains and the public IP addresses they use now turn on and off together.

  • Preserve saved Ethernet and Wi-Fi settings across server restarts.

  • Improved wired network reliability on Server Pure.

  • Sideloaded packages appear in Installed services with upload progress before the upload finishes.

  • Show registry contact email addresses alongside GPG identities in Trusted Keys.

  • Record virtual-host client/service connection failures at trace level instead of flooding normal logs. Use start-cli server set-log-level trace for temporary start-core/start-os trace output, or choose error, warn, info, or debug. The startup log filter is restored when the daemon restarts.

  • Reject source-preserving proxy connections when the client's address cannot be preserved, instead of substituting the host's address. Services on unproxied TLS bindings need an IPv6 listener to accept IPv6 clients; TLS rejection does not trigger automatic IPv4 fallback.
