v1.76.4 (2026-10-02)
Release Highlights
- Collect symlinked drives once and skip drives asleep in standby (#936) - Fixes #910, Fixes #911, Fixes #929, Fixes #933
- A drive configured by a symlink path (/dev/disk/by-id/..., /dev/disk/by-path/...) now matches the scanned device. It is collected once per run, not once under each path, and ignore: true on the symlink path now stops collection (#910, #933).
- Drives that share one device file through different aliases, such as megaraid,0 and megaraid,1 behind one controller, keep separate entries when each sets type:. They no longer fall back to the shared file's block WWN.
- With -n standby in commands.metrics_smart_args, a sleeping drive is skipped at INFO level and keeps its last collected data. It no longer produces a fatal-code error, a misleading AppArmor hint, or a scan-error notification (#911). example.collector.yaml documents the setting.
- The unused Btrfs free_statfs field is removed. Btrfs usage has been computed from statfs_used and statfs_available since the previous release. A migration drops the btrfs_filesystems.free_statfs column (#929).
