What's New
The much-awaited tap-to-turn-pages feature is finally here, and it can be toggled on or off according to your preference!
Features
- Configurable Tap Zones: You can now enable or disable screen tap-to-turn gestures (besides using the volume key) via a new toggle in the Settings menu.
- Smart UI Detection: Tap zones now intelligently yield control when BookOrbit's header or sidebars are active, allowing you to interact with your library and settings without accidentally turning pages.
- Settings & About Pages: Added a dedicated Settings page for reader preferences and app configuration, along with a new About page containing app information, version details, GitHub links, etc.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Multiple Files upload Fix: Now user can select multiple files of multiple types to upload in one go.
- Zero-Stutter Startup: Re-engineered encrypted settings initialization to run on a background thread, eliminating UI freezing and stuttering during app launch.
- Massive Under-the-Hood Refactor: Improved & rebuilt the reading interface's architecture. Gestures, navigation, downloads, and web handling are now powered by highly optimized, isolated controllers for vastly improved stability.
Support the Project: Added a dedicated Support page, giving users the option to easily share the app or support ongoing open-source development through github sponsor, Ko-fi or Stripe.
