faceid/eventnow carries the Frigate zones the person entered during that event,
and so does thelastattribute on the presence sensor. Asked for in the forum by
someone who wants notifications for strangers in the driveway but silence for the street.- Deliberately data, not a filter. The obvious feature — "only scan events in zone X" —
would have thrown away 12 of 28 correct recognitions on the one zoned camera here,
because Frigate had registered no zone for them at all. Publishing the zones costs no
recognition and lets an automation express rules no config option could: different
handling for known and unknown people, per zone. - Both publishing paths carry it, so a stranger alert can be zone-aware just like a
known-person one. Events picked up by the poller carry the complete list, since those
events are already finished. - ⚠️ An empty list is unknown, not elsewhere: it looks identical whether the camera has
no zones or Frigate simply never placed the person in one. Documented in the README next
to the payload, together with the stricter alternative — Frigate's own
snapshots: required_zones:, which keeps such events away from FaceID entirely.
