0.7.2 gives Discord Rich Presence a settings tab of its own, stops the search box writing to your YouTube search history, and fixes seeking in long tracks.
New features
- Discord Rich Presence is fully configurable, with a live preview. A settings tab with a mock of the Discord card beside the controls, re-rendering as you change things. Set what each of the card's three lines carries, the album art and its corner badge, the progress bar, which slot shows next to your name, an app-name override, the two buttons and which parts are clickable. Also: show while paused, a provider badge, and a hide-details switch that keeps everything about what you are playing off your profile.
- An AMOLED theme, true black for OLED screens. The accent preset row is gone, the custom color pickers do the same job.
Improvements
- Seeks are recorded in the app log, and mpv's own log can be folded into it with
LIMUSIC_MPV_LOG=1, so a playback problem you report carries evidence.
Bug fixes
- Seeking in an hour-long track killed it while short songs were fine. The stream URL is now requested to outlive the whole track, a mid-track failure retries and resumes where you were instead of skipping the song, and mpv reconnects a dropped connection rather than ending the track.
- Typing in the search box filled up your YouTube search history, so half-typed prefixes came back as suggestions in YTM later. Previews go out unauthenticated now. The query you actually submit is still recorded, the same as searching in YTM itself.
- A 403 from a request that was never signed in could sign you out of your account.
On macOS, Gatekeeper says the app "is damaged and can't be opened" because the build is signed ad-hoc rather than with an Apple Developer ID. Clear it with xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/limusic.app.
