Music videos. When a track is a music video, the player can now show the video in place of the
artwork. It is still experimental, so it ships off: turn it on at Settings > Playback > Play
music videos.
New features
- Music videos: in the full player, the video plays where the square artwork used to sit, and a button in the corner switches back to artwork for the rest of the session. Audio still leads, so the video follows the same gapless playback you already had. It uses noticeably more data and battery than audio alone, which is why it is off by default. (Settings > Playback > Play music videos)
Bug fixes
- On Windows, drag and drop did not work anywhere in the app: reordering the queue, dragging cards onto the Shortcuts grid, the home layout dialog, the colour picker. All of it works now.
- On Windows, installing an update shows a progress bar instead of the app disappearing for several seconds with nothing on screen. This one takes effect on the update after this release.
- Liked Music no longer shows up in the add-to-playlist picker. YouTube does not let anything add to it that way, so choosing it never did anything.
macOS: the app is not signed with an Apple Developer ID, so Gatekeeper says it "is damaged and can't be opened". Clear the quarantine flag once after installing: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/limusic.app
