Optional DNS and monitoring features, and a device watch list
New
- Settings -> Features: a tab of optional features, each off until you switch it on. Off, a
feature reads nothing from your routers. - DNS bulk edit and export: tick static entries on the DNS page, then change their address list,
forwarder, TTL or comment, enable, disable or remove them, or export them as.rscor CSV. - DNS fleet sync: copy the static entries of a reference router to others, with a preview of
what each router will get before anything is written. - Domain list subscriptions (administrators): a list of domains, pasted or fetched from a URL,
kept as FWD entries on the routers you pick and synced on a schedule. Entries are removed again
from a router you take off the list, and a fetch that shrinks sharply is refused until you accept it. - DNS cache browser and domain route trace on the DNS page: search the router's cache, or type a
domain to see the static entry, address list, mangle rule and route that handle it. - Domain Routing card and alert: the address list your FWD entries feed, its mangle rules and
whether their routes are up, with an alert when that routing goes down. - Device watch list: watch a client or MAC on Wifi Clients and get a Device Absent alert when it
has been gone from Wi-Fi and ARP longer than its grace time. - Wi-Fi client history: click a client's name for its signal and access point over 6 hours,
24 hours or 7 days. Recording is switched on per router. - Wi-Fi map weak spots and CAP versions: access points coloured by their clients' signal, and
CAPs running an older RouterOS than their manager, with an Upgrade button. - DNS public resolvers by name: the resolver and forwarder fields suggest Cloudflare, Google,
Quad9 and others, and the fleet view says which routers already hold a static entry.
Changed
- The DNS page covers all of
/ip/dns: static entries with address list, regexp and
match-subdomain, forwarders and adlists on their own cards, and every resolver setting on tabs. - The queue tree streams instead of being read on every interval.
- The Logs page shows one line per entry, with a horizontal scrollbar for long ones.
Fixed
- An Add form started every checkbox unticked, so a new DHCP server was sent with conflict detection
off and a new adlist with certificate checks off. Add forms now start from RouterOS's defaults. - Wi-Fi map: a client's Name showed its comment instead of its host name.
- Network Topology: the fleet merge added nothing, because every router shares the loopback MAC.
