Scheduled reports send on their own, and times follow your timezone

New

  • Scheduled reports send by themselves. A daily, weekly or monthly schedule now
mails its report after its send hour; before, only "Send now" ever sent one.
  • Every time follows the display timezone set in Settings: Reports, Audit, backups,
sessions, schedule runs, topology and the charts. Times read 2026-09-19 07:58
everywhere instead of in each browser's own format.

Fixed

  • Security: a second account whose name differed only in case (Alice beside
alice) was authorised as the first; usernames now match exactly, and a rename onto a
taken name is refused. Passwords typed into a raw command no longer reach the audit
trail or the assistant. A report's mail error no longer shows the mail server's
address. The mobile router picker escapes names.
  • A router added by hostname can be restored from a backup.
  • Clearing a number field (routing rule min-prefix, OSPF cost, queue priority, PPP
byte limits and others) no longer fails the save.
  • Non-admins can rename scripts; editing a remote log action no longer sends bad
    values.
  • Switching routers no longer shows the previous router's sparklines, trend lines or
    table rows.
  • A tab you come back to shows what arrived while it was in the background.
  • Changing a poll interval now changes how often the router is read, and VPN,
Firewall and Wireless keep updating after a router reconnects.
  • Fewer router channels: several races that could open duplicate channels are fixed,
a slow page can no longer stall other commands to the same router, and routers without
BGP no longer get a failing command every tick.
  • The assistant acts only on the router the question was about, pins an approved
edit to the row it showed, can run a WAN action after showing its safety warning, and
    refreshes stale wireless data.
  • The topology panel closes when its close button is pressed.
  • An install that had deleted the Operator or Read Only role no longer fails a database
    upgrade on every start.

Changed

  • The old Node coexistence mode is removed. -node is still accepted when empty so
existing command lines keep working; any value is refused. -auth-ttl is gone.

Internal

  • A full code review, worked through item by item: dead code and CSS removed, duplicated
helpers merged, the Network Topology page split into three files, and stale comments
    corrected throughout.
  • CI checks the generated code, and a version tag publishes only after the tests pass.
  • Web tests fail on a DOM lookup a page makes that the test does not declare.
