A new install can be set up again

Fixed

  • A fresh install could not be set up at all, and this release is the fix. On a new /data
MikroDash exited before serving a page, because it expected an encryption key file that only the
old Node version ever created. Even past that, it had no database, so the first administrator
account was created holding no permissions and could not add a router. Anyone upgrading was
unaffected, which is why it went unnoticed: the missing files were already in their /data.
Reported as issue #124 by users installing from the RouterOS container catalogue, where the
    volume is empty by definition.
  • Backup notifications work again. Drift ("Configuration changed") and failure ("Backup
failed") were sent by the Node version and were lost in the rewrite, so scheduled backups have
been silent, including when they failed. An unchanged backup still says nothing, deliberately:
a daily message that reports nothing is a channel people mute.
  • The DHCP page showed 0% for every subnet. Lease counts and the IP Utilisation gauge read
zero while the subnet rows and the lease table were populated, because the two collectors
started in the wrong order and the result was then held for a ten minute poll interval.
  • The DHCP page on a device with no DHCP server kept showing the previously selected router's
subnets instead of saying it has none.
  • Network Topology re-read the router every 3 seconds regardless of its configured interval.
The map still updates at the same rate; it just stops asking the router for the parts that have
    not changed.
  • Stale API sessions on the router. A reconnect abandoned its connection without closing it, a
router that was open in the Devices page kept a second connection for as long as the app ran,
and disabling or deleting a router left it polled for two more minutes.
  • Alert checks and history stopped for every router after opening the Devices page, until
something else happened to restart them.
  • "End Session" on the Users page now shows "Closing..." while it works, and says so plainly
when RouterOS refuses. RouterOS will not end API or REST API sessions; that refusal was
    previously invisible.

Internal

  • Router CPU measured across four states before changing anything. The spikes reported were
present with MikroDash stopped, so no collector was altered.
  • The database schema is now created by MikroDash rather than inherited from the Node version.
  • One goroutine per router connection was being leaked for the lifetime of the process.
  • New checks for first run, page keys, collector ordering and backup notification rules.
