1.0.1 Highlights

๐Ÿ”” A notification center keeps every toast. A bell in the header shows how many notifications you have not read and opens the full history, newest first, with Unread and All filters, Mark all as read, and Clear all. Clicking an entry does what its toast would have done. The history keeps 200 entries, survives a restart, and is shared by every open window. An In-App Toasts switch in the bell popover (also in the command palette, with a bindable shortcut) silences pop-ups in one click while the bell keeps collecting, and maestro-cli notify inbox lists, opens, and clears it.

๐Ÿ’ฌ @mentions now follow your wording. "Check with @kensho first" asks Kensho before your agent starts and hands it the reply. "Then send the results to @kensho" lets your agent finish and forwards its final answer as a hand-off. Anything else runs both side by side, as before. A bar above the composer shows which way the message will go before you send it, and hand-offs can write in the receiving agent's own workspace by default, with their own switch under Settings > General > Cross-Agent Mentions.

๐Ÿ’ฐ Claude Code costs are correct again. Each turn used to be recorded with the session's running total, so a session's cost and tokens grew far faster than what you actually spent. Every turn now records its own cost. Totals read from Claude's session files count each response once instead of once per block (about 1.5x too high), subagent spend counts toward its session, and the context gauge on 1M-token windows shows how full the context really is instead of the sum of every call the turn made.

๐Ÿ“ˆ The Usage Dashboard shows how fast your models run and how often you prompt them. Overview has average and peak tokens per second, and the Tokens tab charts speed over time, per provider, per model, and by hour of day (Claude Code and Codex). The Activity tab gains a Prompts section with daily averages, your current and longest streak, peak hour, and time between prompts, counting only what you typed. The dashboard also reopens instantly with the last numbers and refreshes them in place, and maestro-cli stats-tokens prints the same speed figures.

โšก Each Cue subscription can pick its own model and effort. Set a tier (low, medium, high) or an exact model, plus an effort level, and that run uses them without touching the agent's own settings. Agent nodes in the Pipeline Graph and the Scheduled Tasks form both have Model and Effort selectors, maestro-cli cue schedule takes --tier, --model, and --effort, and maestro-cli cue model changes any existing subscription and warns when the provider cannot honor the choice.

Also in 1.0.1

  • ๐ŸชŸ Move a whole group to another window. Right-click a group header and choose Move Group to Window, subgroups and worktrees included. Cmd+K and maestro-cli window move-group do the same.
  • ๐Ÿ›‘ Stop actually stops an agent on an SSH remote, instead of ending only the local connection while the agent kept working on the host. A stopped SSH tab with a queued message no longer sits on "Thinking..." forever.
  • ๐Ÿงช Codex visualizations render inline in the chat, the way the Codex app shows them, instead of as boxed glyphs around raw JSON.
  • ๐Ÿ”— Choose per link where it opens: maestro+https://... always opens a Maestro browser tab, system+https://... always opens your system browser. Cmd+Click in a terminal tab now opens a link in the other browser too.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š The Auto Run card shows percent done, elapsed time, and an ETA, and the AUTO pill in the jump-to-agent list fills as the run progresses.
  • ๐Ÿ—จ๏ธ A steering note now shows the agent's reply under it in the Thought Stream, and steering is a labelled Steer Auto Run button. maestro-cli steer-auto-run sends, lists, and cancels notes.
  • โฏ๏ธ An Auto Run paused by a usage limit now really resumes on its own once the limit clears.
  • ๐Ÿ” An expired login no longer burns your queued messages. The agent shows the error, the queue holds, and the re-login prompt opens.
  • ๐Ÿ”‘ Log in to a logged-out Claude or Codex account from the Usage Dashboard, even one no agent uses right now.
  • ๐Ÿง  Codex's Reasoning Effort setting now takes effect, Thinking shows Codex's reasoning again, and a new setting picks how detailed those summaries are.
  • ๐Ÿชซ Cheap turns on Codex work again. Tab naming, synopses, and low-effort runs asked for an effort level Codex no longer accepts. If a provider ever refuses an effort level, the turn now reruns without it and a toast says so.
  • ๐Ÿ“‚ Codex agents with a writable Additional Directory keep working past the first turn, instead of failing every follow-up with "exited with code 2".
  • ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Claude's TUI mode is honored everywhere: Auto Run, the Cue assistant, AI command mode, summaries, and both wizards no longer fall back to API billing. It also reports cost, subagents, and the real model, and long prompts sent while Claude is busy arrive whole.
  • ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Agent Sessions shows the sessions of the agent's own Claude account, so every listed session can be resumed, and its token total includes cached tokens.
  • ๐Ÿงฎ The Usage Dashboard agent detail shows tokens and cost for the selected range, with the lifetime total on its own line.
  • ๐Ÿ“จ The New Session Message reaches every new conversation, including the queue, maestro-cli dispatch and send, the web interface, and Cue runs.
  • ๐Ÿท๏ธ More tabs get auto-named: ones fed by maestro-cli, the web interface, or the queue, and ones on Copilot CLI's Auto model. A new Tab Behavior setting shortens generated names over 40 characters.
  • ๐Ÿงต A finished reply lands above the next queued message, and a message sent right after a turn no longer collides with its background synopsis.
  • ๐Ÿฉบ Feedback reads Maestro's own state to describe what it sees, files the issue with Submit now at any point, and takes pasted screenshots.
  • ๐ŸŽฌ The floating media player streams from a URL: maestro-cli open-file https://... plays an MP4 or audio file, with seeking.
  • ๐Ÿ“ A folder link in the chat opens that folder in the Files panel, expanded and selected.
  • ๐Ÿงพ Slash-command prompts collapse to their first line in the chat. Click the header to read the whole thing.
  • ๐Ÿ”ค The collapsed Left Bar labels each agent with two-letter initials tinted with its status color.
  • ๐Ÿ” An auto-retry shows as a running turn, a failed attempt no longer raises a green completion toast, and rate-limit and quota banners clear once work resumes.
  • โš ๏ธ A failed turn keeps its error card, and a full context window is reported as one instead of a vague "invalid_request".
  • ๐Ÿ”’ An agent whose SSH remote was deleted or disabled refuses to run instead of quietly running on your machine.
  • ๐ŸŒฒ SSH worktree agents match the remote's git registry, and changing a parent's SSH remote no longer adds a duplicate of every worktree.
  • ๐Ÿ“„ Auto Run on an SSH agent lists the documents of a flat folder again, in the panel and in Add Docs.
  • ๐Ÿค– AI command mode works for agents on an SSH remote, and suggests only commands that never stop to ask for a password or a [y/N].
  • ๐Ÿ›ฐ๏ธ SSH agents with Sync History mirror each entry to their own remote.
  • ๐Ÿ‘ป Codex agents on an SSH remote no longer add a phantom "needs login" account to the Usage Dashboard.
  • ๐Ÿ’พ maestro-cli follows a custom Storage Location, so it sees agents created after the move instead of answering "Agent not found".
  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Playbooks saved with maestro-cli auto-run --save-as actually run, instead of reporting "No unchecked tasks".
  • ๐Ÿข Background git checks no longer pile up on slow folders like iCloud Drive.
  • ๐Ÿ”ฅ Two open windows no longer bounce shortcut settings back and forth, which could pin the CPU.
  • ๐Ÿ“œ History keeps 10,000 entries per agent by default, and Director's Notes reads all the way up to it.
  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€โš–๏ธ The group chat moderator spells out what it refers to when it asks you to decide, and turning off "only free agents" releases delegations already waiting.
  • โœ‚๏ธ Cancelling a merge or Send to Agent stops the work behind it.
  • ๐ŸŽจ Mermaid labels stay readable on colors the diagram picks itself.
  • ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Pick an annotator color with 1-8, and the crop tool closes once a crop is applied.
  • ๐Ÿ“Œ CSV and JSONL previews keep their header row pinned while the rows scroll.
  • ๐Ÿช„ Menus, dropdowns, and hover cards stand out from the surface behind them on every theme.
  • ๐ŸŽน Pianola watchers retire themselves when their tab is gone or idle for 6 hours.
  • ๐Ÿ˜ด Waking your computer no longer raises a Cue heartbeat toast for every agent.
  • ๐Ÿ”Ž The SSH Hosts list sorts A-Z and has a filter, and New Agent in Group leads the group right-click menu.
  • โ™ป๏ธ Resuming a conversation whose tab is hidden brings the tab back.
  • ๐Ÿ• Ask and hand-off pills show the time they went out, and delegation pills show the full agent name.
  • ๐Ÿง™ Resume Where I Left Off in the wizard opens the wizard instead of looping on the prompt.
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Copilot CLI installed through WinGet is detected on Windows, and Linux windows show the Maestro icon.
