The solution for Sherlock Holmes The Awakened removes the black bars from the gameplay, dialogue, and real-time cutscenes at ultrawide and wider resolutions while preserving the native vertical field of view.
- Download the mod archive below.
- Unpack the files to \SH3RE\Binaries\Win64\ inside the game folder.
- Run the game.
To uninstall, simply remove or move the files.
Note that some of the cutscenes are pre-rendered and will be displayed with black bars.
Tested on the latest GOG version at all common 21:9, 32:9 and other resolutions. Tested externally on Steam via the common workaround for Linux. Resolutions narrower than 16:9 are technically supported with the vertical FOV increased, but some interface elements may be cut off.
