This is Pre Alpha 2+. Indexing, stability, menus and files (Bloom Channel Insider Build)

  • Complete OVERHAUL to indexing. We have rewritten indexing to improve stability and make room for future file types. Scanning for music now happens periodically, meaning you can always stay up to date. We also update your library when you add new songs in your files. Additionally, manual indexing is available when needed. Just right click the feedback icon in the titlebar. Note: The app no longer needs to be restarted. Furthermore, adding and removing folders will update your list.
  • Pick up where you left off! If you close or crash the app, on your next launch you will be taken to the same place
  • Right click context menus for albums and artists now have more options, including play for albums and songs, shuffle and show artist.
  • We've added file association to Rise Media Player, so now you can right click on a variety of media types and choose 'Open with Rise Media Player' to play with ease!
  • Updated animations when opening albums and artists to fit the style of the Microsoft Store and feel more consistent with Windows 11 UI.

Fixes

  • Settings will no longer resize itself when navigating between pages.
  • Settings menu bar buttons will now correctly resize with the main app window.
  • Adding and removing media sources no longer crashes the app.
  • Rating song files no longer crashes the app.
  • Navigating to the songs page on first launch no longer crashes the app.
  • Clicking away from teachingtips now works correctly.

Known Issues

  • Resizing the app when the main songs list is open can cause high ram usage.
  • 'Ghost' artists can appear when folders are removed. Clicking on these can crash the app. This can be fixed by manually rescanning.
