A Note on Antivirus Detections (False Positives)
When you download the application, your browser or antivirus software might flag TrayFlag.exe as a potential threat. This is a false positive.
Why does this happen?
Modern antivirus programs use "heuristic" analysis, which means they look for suspicious behavior rather than specific known viruses. Our application does a few things that can trigger these heuristics:
- It's a new, unsigned application that isn't widely known yet.
- It uses a launcher (
TrayFlag.exe) to start the main program from abinsubfolder. This is a common pattern in many professional apps, but also one used by some malware. - It connects to the internet to check your IP address.
Because of these patterns, some AI-driven scanners may incorrectly classify the application as suspicious.
The application is completely safe to use. The source code is open for you to review at any time. These false positives should decrease over time as antivirus vendors update their definitions.
