Stops a plugin from silently ignoring votes or requests for a whole night
while the Remote Falcon dashboard still shows it as connected.
Fixed
- Votes or requests no longer go unplayed after a reboot. The plugin checked
your viewer control mode (Voting or Jukebox) only once, when it started. If
Remote Falcon couldn't be reached at that moment, for example when FPP boots
before Wi-Fi is up, it assumed Jukebox until the next restart. A Voting show
then never played its winning votes, while the dashboard still showed the
plugin as connected. The plugin now keeps retrying every 30 seconds until it
can read the mode. - Switching between Voting and Jukebox no longer needs a plugin restart. When
a request or vote check comes back empty, the plugin re-checks the mode with
Remote Falcon (at most every 5 minutes) and switches if it changed.
Added
- Listener Status on the plugin page. It shows the mode the plugin is using
and whether Remote Falcon confirmed it, the last request or vote check and what
it returned, the last song queued in FPP and whether FPP accepted it, and the
last heartbeat. It updates every 10 seconds, so you can see whether votes and
requests are being played without reading the log. - Clearer log lines. The log now says when the mode changes, when the mode
can't be read (once, not on every retry), and when your remote playlist isn't
set or doesn't exist in FPP. - The heartbeat now tells Remote Falcon which mode the plugin is using and when
it last checked for a request or vote, so Remote Falcon can later flag a
plugin that is connected but not playing them. The privacy disclosure lists
this.
