2026.9.5-a0

An alpha cut for one purpose: to find out, on a real iPhone, whether the ground's memory was what
pushed the Home Assistant app into reloading the page (#414). It carries only the change below on top
of 2026.9.4. HACS will not offer it: install it by hand by choosing this version in Helios, then rotate
and edit the card the way that used to make the dashboard reload.

Changed: the basemap is painted in levels of detail

The ground under your home was one canvas, 2816 pixels square, about 30 MB of
memory whatever the size of the card or the display radius you chose, and on an
iPhone that single allocation, held twice over by the compositor, was enough to
push the Home Assistant app past the memory the system allows a page before it
reloads it (reported in #414). The ground is now three concentric canvases
painted from the same vector features: the finest covers a hundred metres at
full resolution, the next reaches 210 m at half, the outermost 300 m at a
quarter, and each finer level dissolves into the one beneath through its own
alpha, so where two overlap the eye blends the same roads and parcels at two
sharpnesses rather than seeing a seam. The perspective compresses the far field
harder than the coarser levels lose, so the scene looks as it did while the
ground allocates about a third of what it did. Its reach is now metric as well,
300 m at every latitude: the old tile square shrank toward the poles and near
Oslo fell short of the 250 m display radius the card allows.
