Fixed
- Backup environment variables were ignored (#504, fixes #503, thanks @tiennm99 for the report).
PRE_SYNC_BACKUP_STRATEGY,PRE_SYNC_BACKUP_ENABLED,PRE_SYNC_BACKUP_KEEP_COUNTandPRE_SYNC_BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYShad no effect, because a new configuration stored the built-in backup settings and a stored setting wins over the environment. They now set the starting values, and so doesPRE_SYNC_BACKUP_DIR, which a first sign in also overrode. - Backups turned back on by a restart. With environment configuration, a configuration from before backup strategies existed that had backups off was stored as Smart on restart. It now stays disabled.
Notes
- Existing configurations keep their backup settings. The variables only apply when a configuration is created, so change existing settings on the Configuration page.
- If you had backups off from before backup strategies and run with environment configuration, check the backup mode on the Configuration page, since an earlier restart may have stored Smart.
No other action needed. As always, back up your Gitea before upgrading.
