github RayLabsHQ/gitea-mirror v3.49.0

Features

  • Remove old release assets (#489, closes #485, thanks @MajMcCloud). Assets for latest only decides what a sync uploads, so files already on Gitea stayed when you set or lowered it. A new switch under the release settings, Remove old release assets, deletes the attachments of every mirrored release past that count on each sync. The releases, their notes and their tags stay. It is off by default and can also be set with PRUNE_OLD_RELEASE_ASSETS=true. A release whose attachments cannot be listed is left alone until the next sync, and releases that already have no attachments cost no extra requests.

Fixed

  • The Activity Log failed to load once a sync had written a release filter warning (#488, thanks @MajMcCloud). Since v3.44.0, when the release filters remove every release a repository had, the sync records an "All releases removed" warning. The activity feed did not accept that status and answered with an error instead of the list.
  • The owner and organization filters on the Repositories page and the name filter on the Activity Log sort names alphabetically regardless of case (#487, thanks @MajMcCloud, and #490).

Notes

  • Remove old release assets deletes files from your destination. On the first sync after you turn it on, every mirrored release past Assets for latest loses its attachments. The switch is global, but the count comes from each repository's own asset limit, including organization and repository overrides.

No action needed. As always, back up your Gitea before upgrading.
